Difference between calorie in/out & THR
I always wondered how this works. I know you are in "fat burning mode" when you are in your THR, right? Then everyone says it's calorie in/calorie out. I am wondering especially now because I had surgery and can't jog or jump around. Doctor told me I can walk all I want and do light weights. Is the walking going to help me lose the weight if I watch my diet plan? I only have like 5 lbs but want to stay on track with my progress. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Walking utilizes type I muscle fibers which utilize fat for fuel.
Walking + calorie deficit = weight loss
Walking + calorie deficit + resistance training = fat loss

its calories in vs. calories out...
period.
I can lose fat if i just eat less...I dont have to exercise or lift weights.
although lifting weights and cardio definitely speeds up the process.

Making it easier, there is a device out there called a Body Bug. It measures Precisely your calories burned 24 hours a day. I have used this device on my weight loss journey. It was a great tool to help me understand what's going out vs whats going in.
I would know exactly what I could consume on heavy training days and rest days to stay in a calorie deficit. It was very helpful to me after my recent knee surgery.
