Tightening the legs and achieving overall tone

Hello everyone,

I'm back in the gym this time, but now instead of just mindlessly doing cardio or lifting, I have a physique goal in mind to guide what/how much I work out:

As with most people here, I do not like my body the way it looks (check out my pics, it's pretty disgusting) and I want to look more upright, tight, toned.

Specifically, I want my gluteals and hamstrings to be nice and solid (I go to the club a lot and dance), my upper-body to be tight and lean so when I walk around I don't look weak. Ultimately, I'd like a V-shaped torso, but that will have to come over an even longer period of time than my current goals.

What would be a good list of exercises to concentrate on (I already know what to do with biceps and triceps) to get the aforementionned goals? How often?

Does each exercise that works the [gluteals for instance] achieve the same end/look? Or does what particular gluteal exercises achieve a different look or shape?

Happy work-outs to all, and I look forward to your advice =)
Christopher

Yeah so I'm def the biggest loser for forgetting that the sticky's are up there (how many years have been on this site?? lol ya. . .).

Thanks for the links, though. Now to figure out which one of those work-outs to pick! There are too many choices ^^

The most important thing is to be consistent bud. Keep squats, leg presses, lunges, calf raises, etc. in your routine for sure. Lunges are a great movement and overlooked by most guys. Lunges do a great job of really tying in all the muscles in the quads/hams/glutes.
