    Good Replica Watch Sites?

Anyone know of some good legit replica watch sites? Looking for a Tag Grand Carrera but not to thrilled with the $4,000 price tag and I want to make sure I like it. It seems a lot of the sites are bogus.

Agree. Find a brand name watch that looks like that. Wearing a fake is beta as hell. Or do like I did and save up and buy a real one.

Or be like the rest of America and take out a 84 month 18.9% loan to get it, then not pay it.

Yeah brah, wearing a fake watch makes you look more tacky then wearing a cheap one.

You can easily tell if a watch is fake, easily

Not really, a good watch really is timeless, it's something that will outlive you and you can pass it down to your children who can pass it down to their children...

A watch is made to be worn. Wear and tear is going to happen. Go to the store and try it on. You will know right away if its the one or not. I went just to look and I couldn't leave without my Omega lol. GF did the same thing with her Tag.

There is something about a nice watch you can't put your finger on but it's there. One thing that makes you appreciate it more is the value. A fake is a fake and you know it. You wear a fake to impress other people. You wear a real one because you love it.

I'm guessing you never heard the phrase "to each his own"?

I think a $4000 is a much bigger waste on a vacation that will last only a week, while a watch will last a lifetime.

Most replicas look like crap, but wouldn't mind wearing a convincing replica. Yes, a good timepiece can be passed on, but $3-4,000 is a lot of money for a watch if you just want something that looks good.

What if you just happen to like the way a Seamaster or a Submariner looks?

    (Not condoning replicas.)

A watch will outlive all of those.. But I get what you're saying, although saying buying a watch for 4k is stupid is ignorant. Some people enjoy having nice things like that, like you would enjoy getting a hot tub..

Not only will it last a lifetime, you can give it to your kid one day.

Really? BUT wearing a $100 Chinese made POS to make people THINK you could drop $4K on a watch is NOT stupid? Okay then!

OP dont do it. I buy and sell watches. Rolex mostly and I can tell you ALL of those replicas are POS. They are not even waterproof most times. Get them wet they are done. The movements are total garbage. You would be lucky if it ran two years. MAYBE

Tags can be had VERY cheap on the secondary market. They dont hold their value well at all. Which is sad cause they are very nice timepieces.

Save your money and get a pre owned Tag and you will be very proud to wear it each day. Since you bought it used, it will hold its value from there, and you SHOULD be able to get your money back down the road should you decide to sell it.

At the very least it has inherent value as it is a genuine Tag Heuer watch.
If you have any watch questions OP, feel free to PM me.

I agree. There are swiss replicas that are so close jewlers can't even tell. Granted they're over $500 but still much less than 5k.

I got a PM about Puretime. Anyone deal with them?

What if you just happen to like the way a Seamaster or a Submariner looks?

    (Not condoning replicas.)

You make good points. They have Invicta, Seiko and many others that LOOK like the Submariner. The Submariner is probably THE most iconic watch ever made, next to the Omega Speedmaster "Moon" watches. That and they came out way back in the 50's or so, so EVERYONE makes some sort of Submariner looking watch.

Rolex was the first to make anything that was fully waterproof. The Submariner being the fruits of their labor. Couple that with its release date and EVERYONE has a clone or similar watch like it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all.

SOME replicas are well made. BUT they wont hold up next to the genuine article. They never do. They are simply NOT built that well. If you get around someone who knows watches or has a genuine version on their wrist imagine the feeling of being called out on your replica.... FAIL FAIL FAIL. I have seen it happen. Not fun for the poor guy with the replica.

I would rather wear a Seiko or a G-Shock myself. I would tell anyone to save their money up. Buy pre-owned and enjoy the genuine watch of your choice. Then pass it on to your kids. Im passing on my GMT II to my son someday, and on to his son. A Swiss watch with proper servicing will outlast many lifetimes of anyone of us.

Also keep in mind, we ALL have money issues now and again. A Rolex for example is money in the bank. The Rolex on my wrist is my last insurance policy. I can go anywhere in this world and get within 20% of its current value, more likely closer to 15% too. You never know.

ordered from them b4, they are legit. quality depends on the type of watch and model but there are pictures of each replica on the site and reviews. I would definitely recommend a replica brah, they are fantastic.

Word, I actually have the Invicta automatic, which I treat as my "beater" watch. It's a decent timepiece but doesn't keep great time (although it's an automatic so.) I think it's +/- about 5-10 minutes per day.

Also agree, but your odds of running into someone who will recognize the watch, especially if it's not a Submariner or a Seamaster (I picked those because they're easily recognizable due to their popularity) aren't that high I think.

I've wanted to pick up a Grand Seiko for years but reluctant to go to Japan to get one. I like it better than the Aqua Terra, and really I'm not a huge fan of "cluttered" watches like most Tags or Breitlings.

My goto is a Movado which isn't that far out of OP's price range. I think mine was ~$800 but I didn't shop around that much for it. It's a simple watch that won't draw attention but doesn't embarrass me and I can wear with pretty much anything, work or casual.

I have seen some very good replica watches myself. People have tried to sell me some excellent fakes. They simply dont hold up to the real deal.

Rolex which I usually deal with is the most replicated watch on the planet. I have seen them all. I have seen "fakes" with genuine Rolex dials, hands, and crystals, even cases no less. Those are rare but out there.

A jeweler will ALWAYS be able to spot a fake. If they are worth their own fecal matter anyway. I know there are some replica watches that will fool 99% of people on the wrist of the wearer. But if you hand me a fake I WILL spot it. When all else fails I break out the Oyster Cracker and check the movement. Nothing else looks like a Rolex movement. Game Over for the fake brah.

You are correct though, GOOD fakes are not cheap. They are upwards of $500. Why spend that. You can get older Rolex Datejust and Explorers for $1500+ all day.

I would rather save up and get the real deal. Spending $500 on a replica is foolish. Buy a nice Seiko, which believe it or not are incredible watches. Besides Rolex, and Patek Phillipe, IWC and a handful of others, guess who is the only watchmaker to build the whole thing "in house?" Seiko.

Just saying brah, no offense to you at all here.

I guarantee no one in the world can tell my rolex submariner I got from trusty time is a replica, its is 100% exact I have compared it to the real thing many times at pawn shops and in Aruba at jewelry stores. It has a sweeping movement and everything, micro incesion rolex symbol on the glass, etc... plus you can easily get the fake pearl on it replaced with a real pearl that you order from rolex for cheap.

by the way, watches lose a ****load of value over time... they are almost as bad as buying a car. they are terrible terrible investments.

    repgeek.com and replica-watch.info

They are both forums which have trusted dealers. All the dealers on there will have that TAG.

Buying reps is good to get a feel of the watch. Its just sad when people try to show off and pass their replica watches off as real.

Like I said, I can get a 100% realistic replica rolex submariner for less than 100$ at trusty time that will fool 100% of jewelers unless they open it up. same scale, same weight, same everything. you really underestimate the quality of replicas available today...

Yeah money in the bank is nice for sure.

Movado's are awesome watches. Iconic if fact. EVERYONE knows those watches. My fiance has two. Her favorite watch of all time in fact.

If your Invicta is THAT off in time keeping it is most likely beaten TOO much. Any movement should only be seconds off each day. Not minutes. What did you do with it? Hammer nails brah?

COSC certified chronometers such as Rolex and Omega for instance are running at +/- 5 seconds a day. Maybe 4-6 seconds a day etc. ALL automatics or mechanical watches will gain or lose "time", being mechanical they will never be quartz accurate which can be 15 seconds or less a YEAR. Quartz watches to me have no soul though.

I actually did use it to hammer something once. (Embarrassed)

I'll also add to OP that if he gets a replica make sure it's a damn good one. The money saved won't be worth the anxiety if anyone asks to see it, or gets too close to it, or if you sit down next to someone who has the real deal and you have to worry about getting called out.

Unless you get a Rolex. Pretty much everyone assumes they're fakes anyway.

No I do NOT underestimate them. People have tried to sell them to me my friend.
You are correct watches DO lose value, but after the initial hit they HOLD their value or even increase. Talking of Rolex and Patek Phillipe and IWC of course.

The sweep on the replica watches is never as smooth as a genuine Rolex is. It never will be. Some of the high beat Asian 28,800bph movements are very smooth, but not good enough if you have a close look.

If you like replica watches that is fine. But dont say they are the SAME as a Rolex for example. They are not. They might LOOK close, but the quality, steel quality, movement, and overall attention to detail at NOT there.

You shouldnt be able to really easily SEE the Rolex cornet on the crystal at the 6 o'clock position either. Its very hard to pick out on the genuine watches, you need a jewelers loop to see it. If you can spot it on your crystal that alone is a dead giveaway and not all Rolex watches have it.

Only certain Serial number ranges from about 2002 or so, and again not ALL models had it at the same time. Some still dont use it.

There are many little things to give away a replica watch.

Not on your wrist of course, you would fool anyone there. I give you that, but WHY would you want to?

I view people who wear replicas as fake people. They want to borrow the Rolex prestige for example, but dont want the watch or appreciate it for what it truly is. They want to impress others. MOST people that wear reps dont realize that the people who KNOW you in real life, will be your undoing. People you hang with KNOW if you could afford to drop $5K on a watch of all things. Simple as that really.
