He was a great poser and is capable (maybe) of being a great poser poser BUT guess what the movie Gladiator was a great movie too but i guarantee you if u see it year after year over and over played in the theaters it gets old....Melvin needs to step it up.

Its the same moves with diff. music over and over and over and over and over

who would want to look like ronnie dorian ruhl all the time.

if i had to rock any physique for the rest of my life it would have to be melvins.

all that body poppin and stuff is getting tedious..this aint no dance contest..id much rather see kai greenes routine over and over,much better

i swear melvin and darrem should run their own body poppin dance school!

the closest thing to relating is that i mentioned he was off at the 2009 O in his posing routine.

but what needs to be said is this

nothing wrong with his posing routine.

if he wants to win he has to improve. he needs more mass to hang with these guys and NEEDS to hit that conditioning on the head.

posing routines barely matter.

look at ronnies posing routines in all his Olympias...

walks around stage gut hanging out pushing hands in the sky...

does a shruggy shruggy lat spread. does the splits.

front double bicep here there then finsh off with a load of most musculars...

in the middle of all this he will parade around pushing the sky with his hands.

and that is the greatest of all time... so no posing routines do not really matter

long as the whole physique is showcased

Yea but lets face it Ronnie is known as the best bodybuilder and he surely lived up to that...but Melvin is always mentioned for his posing and thats what I'm trying to say for a guy who is "renowned" for his posing he sure lacks creativity doing the same routine for how many years now???

Yea we know at the end of the day it is about the body, but if you are also bestowed with the reputation of being known as a great poser at least throw some variety in there damn.....with that said Melvin is a good bodybuilder.

it's fun to see people bringing new routines to the stage. actually, i think more creativity wouldnt hurt for anyone. Except maybe rusty jeffers he's good.

I'd like to see more victory poses, more transitions, more variation in mm's, more twisted shots ftw. Curry will bring more of this.

Yeah I agree with OP, he's an entertaining dancer, but it really is the same thing just repackaged each year. It's getting old IMO.
