    Drinking night... is the gym useless the same day(before drinking of course)...?

    Didn't knew where to post this other than misc... reps to whoever redirect me... or if a mod can transfer it to proper forum section... "Workout? Exercises? Nutrition?"

    Cliff:
    -Bulking
    -Working out 4 days split
    -Like to drink on 1time/week on weekend

    If I train on Friday night, and then take my PWO meal/shake... and then later that night goes out to drink... am I killing the workout I just did? Or the OFF day after will compensate for the drinking night?

    Is the gym completely useless before a drinking night?

    SAme for me... but I wondered if the alcohol would just cancel the effect of the previous workout...

    Yeah I know I'm to much worried... just trying to find optimal result without changing my social life that much... :S

    I shifted my workout from monday-wed-friday to sunday-tues-thurs and I feel like it has helped. I feel a bit groggy at times for my Sunday workout though so who knows if it is more detrimental to drink after a workout or lift on a hangover. Least you are probably going to be in a calorie surplus with the alcohol after your workout.

    probably wont help gains, but my guess is as long as you are getting your cals in (ie: not taking your PWO at like 6pm and then not eating until like noon the next day) it shouldn't hurt gains too badly.

    hell, i dont think its that big of a deal as long as the drinking part happens in moderation. one night of drunkenness will not kill your progress man. i would hit that gym.

    I think i read a study once where it showed even heavy drinking had little to no effect on exercise gains..

    Just don't go gym the day after, i tried that one and it was the worst workout i ever had!

    I actually hit the gym drunk one time. I must have been ****ing the deadlift form up badly because this guy came over and tried to help me.

    If not, shuttle her out of the room as quick as possible before your friends can find out and bust your balls.

    4. 45 minutes to an hour before breakfast have a serving of ZMA and 5-10 grams of glutamine. The ZMA will naturally raise your testosterone levels that were lowered from your night of drinking, and the glutamine will help stop catabolism.

    5. Eat a big breakfast filled with foods that are rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus and iron. Your body is craving these key nutrients since the alcohol diminished them the night before.
