Today starts my personal commitment and second attempt to journal my workouts online. This has been a long time coming as I've received many requests via email and PM to continue what I've started on another message board. For those that are not familiar, I'm among a few known regular posters on bb.com with Cerebral Palsy. Ever since I began this journey (last week I 'celebrated' nine years), I have been posting online. I've learned a lot about myself within that time, as well as this industry as a whole while representing two different supplement companies. My main focus of this journal is not so much about me, rather it is a vision to have something in which others of similar commonalities can turn to as a source of practical information.
More to come...

9/30
Workout: Back
Time: 1.5 hours
Exercises Used:
Back Ext = 9 sets, 15-12 reps
Seated Rows = 7 sets, 10-6 reps
V-Bar Pulldowns = 6 sets, 12-10 reps
Current Stats & Goals:
Weight = 160 lbs, ~10%
Finishing up this week with a small lean cycle (TKD/CKD).
Next week starts my Fall/Winter mass phase via reintroducing carbs post workout.
Planned a multi-layered T-Boosting cycle which encompasses 16 weeks. This should place me with enough time to diet down slightly prior to attending Ohio's '10 Arnold Classic.
Supplements Used:
XF ICE
XF Ultra Peptides
XF Vengeance
SNS Beta Alanine
Animal Omega
AN Osteo-Sport
MS MVP-365
Primaforce Insopro-R
Thoughts/Observations:
Started doing seated rows again after a 6-8 week layoff. This exercise appears to have aggravated my left side medial epicondylitis which I've battled for tha better part of 2009. Very slowly I've been able to correct this with time, however it has not been an easy task. Part of my problem is that I cannot perform rehab exercises properly due to my condition. I've also dealt with some left side shoulder impingement issues as well... Anyhow point being, I expect my numbers on rows to jump rapidly in tha weeks to come.

10/2
Workout: Shoulders/Arms
Time: 1.5 hours
Exercises Used:
Military Press = 8 sets, 12 reps
Seated Tricep Ext = 5 sets, 8 reps
Bicep Curls = 5 sets, 10 reps
Current Stats & Goals:
Tomorrow reintroduces carbs PWO. I'll also start implementing tha first phase of my self designed 'Critical Mass' stack as follows:
Weeks 1-4: Thermolife T-Bol
5-8: Fusion Zeus/GN Novedex XT
9-12: DS ActX/GN Novedex XT
13-16: MAN Primal Male
Thermolife's Dicana may also be added at some point as well.
Supplements Used:
XF ICE
XF Ultra Peptides
XF Vengeance
ISS Pro M3 Shake&Go's
SNS Beta Alanine
Animal Omega
AN Osteo-Sport
MS MVP-365
Primaforce Insopro-R
Thoughts/Observations:
Very focused tonight. So much so that I probably could have pushed myself harder. Tha only thing holding me back is training around injuries. I think I may have pulled a ligament around my right knee sometime this week as it hasn't felt quite right... this should be interesting for tomorrows high rep leg workout. My saving grace will be additional calories. I may have to throttle that temporarily and make use of the rapid partitioning because Monday I'll be hitting legs again with my father.
I plan on posting some baseline pictures here soon. I also would like to post hardcopy images of my workout log so you can see actual numbers. I'm thinking this will save me a lot of time as that posed a big pain in tha ass with my last journal. Well see, no promises.

In the other thread i had noticed that you actually lifted more on some sets with your cp arm. please explain in better detail whty someone would do 10 sets with their cp arm with more reps with weight ABOVE the highest for the right arm than the total amount of reps for the right arm. (no more bull**** i promise to stay possitive)
Ham Curls
(Left)
80x15
80x15
90x15
90x15
100x12
100x12
105x12
105x12
110x8
110x8
(Right)
95x12
95x12
95x15
95x15
edit: i am making an appointment to see a neurologist about baclofen. i spoke to a few people with cp and for them it does help with their spasticity.

10/5
Workout: Legs
Time: ~ 1 hour
Exercises Used:
Hack Squat = 9 sets, 8-6 reps
Current Stats & Goals:
Intra-workout & Post-workout carbohydrates only
Day 3 of Phase 1's 'Critical Mass' stack: Thermolife T-Bol
Supplements Used:
XF ICE
XF Ultra Peptides
XF Vengeance
ISS Pro M3 Shake&Go's
SNS Beta Alanine
Animal Omega
AN Osteo-Sport
MS MVP-365
Primaforce Insopro-R
Thermolife T-Bol
Thoughts/Observations:
I was a little surprised tonight with my numbers. Initially I had thought I would not be able to go as heavy, but surprisingly I achieved within 10 lbs of my current best. Legs should be hit again on Friday if all goes as planned. Supplemental Beta-Alanine will be discontinued tomorrow and Intrabolic replaced to test run as I'm also out of Vengeance.

10/6
Workout: Chest
Time: 1.25 hours
Exercises Used:
Cable Crossovers = 8 sets, 12-8 reps (Reverse Pyramid)
Machine Flys = 8 sets, 12-8 reps (Reverse Pyramid)
Current Stats & Goals:
Intra-workout & Post-workout carbohydrates only (Fail)
Day 4 of Phase 1's 'Critical Mass' stack: Thermolife T-Bol
Supplements Used:
XF ICE
XF Ultra Peptides
ISS Pro M3 Shake&Go's
AEN Intrabolic
Animal Omega
AN Osteo-Sport
MS MVP-365
Primaforce Insopro-R
Thermolife T-Bol
Thoughts/Observations:
Eat dinner with my wife tonight, switching carbs from post to pre-workout. Consequently I felt bloated and had some indigestion. Typically I don't like to eat heavy pre-workout. I'd rate it as a good workout none the less. Tonight I went for more of a stretch on the Machine Flys. Weights needed to be reduced a bit as a result.

10/8
Workout: Back / Triceps
Time: 1.75 hours
Exercises Used:
Seated Rows = 8 sets, 10-8 reps
V-Bar Pulldowns = 8 sets, 8 reps
Standing Tricep Ext = 7 sets, 12-10 reps
Current Stats & Goals:
Intra-workout & Post-workout carbohydrates only (+)

Supplements Used:
XF ICE
XF Ultra Peptides
ISS Pro M3 Shake&Go's
AEN Intrabolic
Animal Omega
AN Osteo-Sport
MS MVP-365
Primaforce Insopro-R
Thermolife T-Bol
Thoughts/Observations:
I haven't weighed myself as of yet, but I know I've put on quite a few pounds... mostly water. 8 lbs once fully carb loaded is usually what I see. There is some mobility awkwardness with a rapid fluctuation in weight. I actually lost balance and fell yesterday outside... That of course didn't help any of my training aches and pains much.
Tonight I significantly increased weight on tha V-Bars by about 15 lbs. Certainly can't complain about those numbers!

Exercises Used:

Current Stats & Goals:

AEN Intrabolic

AN Osteo-Sport

Thoughts/Observations:
Had an employee birthday today at work, so essentially I subbed my nutrition goals for a pre-workout carb load with 300mgs R-ALA. Workout was OK. I increased Back Ext's by 10 lbs, Leg Ext's by 10 lbs and Ham Curls by 5 lbs respectively... Head was not into it tonight. I kept myself deep in thought as I found out a family friend committed suicide a few hours before.

I was hoping to go back and edit these attachments back into each individual post. Anyone know editing time frames for future reference?

I'm not so concerned with myself as I am with my mother. About two weeks prior to this she had another friend who lost her entire family to a drunk driver. That friend is still in tha hospital. Last I heard she had not yet been told what had happened to her family.

Thoughts/Observations:
It's nice to know my body well enough to have a good grasp on expected weight gain. Body weight should be stabilized from here on out. I hit a new PR with curls - 160x6. Shoulders could have been stronger, but I didn't want to push it considering my left elbow is still only 80-90%.

She was in critical care herself, so I'm guessing it was for tha best.
I agree, one of my favorites from our wedding. If I ever get some professional bodyshots done I'll definitely go kylene krotzer photography again.

Thoughts/Observations:
Heavy workout tonight, strength was great. I was able to climb tha mountain and conquer Life Fitness' Pec Dec Fly machine on a 5 pin setting, hitting a new PR at 305x8. I also may have hit another PR on Tri's by a rep or two, but I'd really have to go back in my logs to verify... This is kind of an aside here but if it's one thing I've learned over tha past year it's been that there is no point in trying to maintain extreme leanness for extended periods of time without reason. Case in point, I feel as though I've all but lost a good training year by cycling back and forth between cutting and maintenance diets for tha purposes of vanity. Looking back at my progress it becomes quite evident that this time last year I was leaner and approximately 90% as strong as what I am today. So what went wrong? Honestly, I got so far into my head that I thought I could have it all. Despite my vast knowledge of the sport I attempted to do something impossible -- build muscle far below my setpoint. It just doesn't happen folks. Yet I was so lean, my mind so altered from tha diet, that little voice in tha back of my head urging me to overcome all obstacles... I could not see what I had been doing to myself. Regardless of my own shortcomings, it was a valuable lesson to be learned. Life comes with many peaks and valleys. I am given another opportunity to build upon. A chance to regain some lost time. Now is tha time to take advantage.

How could you have lost the whole year when you came away with some good knowledge? If anything, what I've seen from you is incredible resilience in your body (and yourself), so I wouldn't look at it as an entire year wasted, but more that you chose an alternate path then and are taking one that is more resonant and maybe more correct now and your future decisions in this arena will all be the better for that knowledge that you paid for accordingly.

I agree... to a point. Personal experience in tha iron game is always beneficial. This however is knowledge I've known for quite some time, yet refused to apply and implement myself. That's what irks me about tha situation. I was so focused on overcoming (living up to my own hype) that ultimately my lifestyle had become a detriment and self-defeating of my long term goals.

I do this sometimes also...there's a big difference between knowing something mentally and understanding it through experience, no doubt...my long-term goals always seem to shift a bit as well, which always throws things a bit, I suppose...

Thoughts/Observations:
Last nights workout was disappointing. Set and rep range was exactly tha same from my last workout. Weight was increased by 5 lbs however. Although usually a good thing, my form suffered slightly leaving me to wonder just how much of an improvement I made. When doing Hacks my goal is come as close to bottoming out as possible. Towards tha end there my father was calling out those last few reps as "barely" & "iffy" on set 8 and 9, just hitting parallel. What I should have done is dropped back to 330 and bang more out than last time. 225 went so well on set 7 that I thought for sure I'd get another 8 with 10 lbs more. It's things like this that really screw with my head. I then allowed it to work on me tha rest of tha night. But today is a new day I suppose. I'll be more satisfied with myself by tomorrow if
DOMS are felt. Next week my plan is to scale back some weight and got for higher reps.
In other news, I had some massage work done on my left shoulder as I could start to feel some impingement and front delt tightness again. It feels more inflammed now that it did before. Hopefully we'll be good to go for shoulder day.
