Wrist Sprain/Strain (Home solutions?)

Yesterday I got tackled and his arm roped around mine while we were going down and prevented me from tucking it so that his weight landed on me while my hand was open as if I were catching myself as I fell. Momentum carried us sideways and as he rolled off of my arm I felt two pops in my wrist and thought I had broken it.

The trainers think that I have a severe sprain and I spent all day with it in ice and with that electro machine that makes your hand twitch. They have it taped right now and told me to continue to ice it but I need to make this heal much quicker than I'm projected to.

Has anyone had similar experiences where they've been able to speed up recovery?

(I did use the search function but the trainers have already put me through everything that was recommended by past threads)

Well, if the swelling is down... and IF it's only a sprain then first thing you want to do is start stretching it and getting back ROM. Continue to use R.I.C.E. after your workouts if there's still swelling.

After you've achieved your ROM back and have achieved low levels or no pain then time to start strengthening it. Rice bucket (youtube it) is a good idea.
