Wow, What a weekend for Team Cutler!
Congrats to everyone - Jay appreciates your support and this win was for his friends, family and fans. He's truly happy to be back on top and trust me, he ain't giving it back anytime soon.
Just to let everyone know - Jay is NOT retiring and will defend his title next year - he is already planning his training strategy and after he completes some mandatory photo shoots and appearances in the next week or two, he will begin training for the 2010 Mr. Olympia contest.
Jay's final prep to get himself into condition for the show was carefully documented by his friends and family and we are convinced we have not seen the best of him yet - he's body is feeling great, his health is better than ever and I don't see any reason for him to not win a few more Sandows down the road.
Thanks again to everyone for your well wishes - I know Jay appreciates it.

Been there, done that bro! His eyes are on the big prize! In my humble opinion, Big Phil Heath will take the Arnold next year - my early prediction.

Hmmm, maybe like go tell Jay to watch out, coz Phil's not going to let this year's placing happen again ^_^
I think this year's fifth place finish has given Phil some epic drive for 2010.

Ha - I had dinner with Jay and Phil tonight before I came back to Phoenix and Phil said he couldn't beat Jay in his 2009 Olympia condition - he's just to big for Phil. However, the future is Phil Heath - hopefully AFTER Jay retires someday

Well all I can say is...I was not a fan of Cutlers. BUT...after watching him on the live feed for 2 days, my jaw was on the floor.
If he could dial down his waist a tad and obliques he would be something out of this world entirely.
Give him my best "not that it matters or that you will. "...and I cant wait until next year...Congrats JAY..

Funny, he looks 10 times better in person than in the pictures, it's crazy. Ronnie was even incredibly impressed.

Congrats to Jay, He amazed everyone by coming in better than ever. He deserved the win. He proved a lot of doubters , including me, Wrong.
I noticed you said that Dennis Wolf was at the Photo shoot, was there any talk of what went wrong and what he might do to fix it? Did the other athletes have any reaction to it? I know most of them must have been shocked when they saw Dennis in that kind of condition.
I know the epic fall of Dennis Wolf in the placing was one of the three major stories of this Olympia:
1.) Jay's return and dominance with amazing conditioning and Massive feathered Quads
2.) Branch coming out of NOWHERE and dominating everyone but Jay.
3.) The Greatest fall in the history of Mr. Olympia by Dennis Wolf

Phoenix,
Funny story, I was telling my buddy Brian (manager of pure fitness) how bad I was pissed I had to miss the Olympia this year because one of my buddies couldn't go. We were all watching the Finals together before we went out Saturday night (i watched the prejudging too friday). Anyways, he was like why didn't you tell me. I know one of Jay Cutler's good friends Tony. He works out at the Pure Fitness on 32nd street and Greenway.
I knew right away he was talking about you. I had no idea you worked out at the Pure Fitness over there. I actually work at 64th street and Greenway.
Anyways, it would be so awesome to meet Cutler one day. Besides Ronnie, he's been a favorite bodybuilder of mine for years.
I was very happy to see him win the title back and make bodybuilding history. He is what a Mr. Olympia should look like and he's the greatest at promoting the sport.

He didn't dominate everyone but Jay. He beat Dexter by just 1 point and most people question/despute how he beat Kai and Heath as well. He didn't show up looking any better than expected... just placed way higher than expected.

Oh, snap!
Well, looks like we're gonna see some good shows in future years. Dude, probably wants Dorian's record. He said his goal was 3 - he reached it. Where does having a family fit into all of this? Hmmm. . .lots of unanswered questions, but it appears his reign is not over. . .

Sorry my man but I gotta disagree with you, there were only two guys that made you go "WOW!!" during the Mr. Olympia, The first was Branch and the 2nd was Jay.
All the other guys looked great, but I garuntee you that almost everyone who watch that contest only went "WOW" when Branch and Jay come out in the condition they were in.
I think people may have went "WOW' for Dennis Wolf's performance too but for all the wrong reasons. I know I did.
Jay and Branch were the undisputed stars of that show.

Cheers for all the updates Phoenix, much appreciated! Once again congrats to Jay, although I was supporting Kai Jay thoroughly deserved this O and frankly destroyed the opposition.
What a victory, and lets hope he looks even better next year!

He didn't walk off the stage, he stayed there and held his check and even went back and hugged Branch after jay got his award. It's all on the video if people would watch.

Yeah, this year was the best Gutler ever. If he can work on that frig and come in as Cutler, then he would look God-like.
