    Good Weight for 5'8 Man

I know this is a very general question, but what is a good weight for guy who is 5'8 and somewhat muscular. I am not sure of my frame size, but my shoe size is 10.5. Would 155 be considered scrawny? Any other short guys like me?

I'm 5"7 man or around 170cm and I weighed about 72kg. However I wanted to cut down for summer down here in Australia, so i've managed to get to about 68kg. I dont look small, my size has actually stayed about the same and got more shredded. If you have a small waist line and a big chest + arms its very deceiving your weight.

I'm 140 and I don't look too bad. But it also depend on body type. My friend is 140 also and same height, he looks horrible and smaller than me.

I would say realistically 155lbs muscle is good and 165lbs is even better. But over that and I think you'll start looking funny.

I'm trying to aim at 165lbs or 155lbs.

Thanks for the reply jacpot. I am currently cutting down to around 165. I hope to someday get to your weight and it be muscle. Very impressive build.

Then why have previous threads decided that "180 lean" is the good size for a 5'6? Strong logic, misc. If I have to be 180, a "good sized 5'8" would be 200.

Meh, it really depends on what circumstance you are referring to.

165-170 at 5'8 is solid by normal standards

You'd probably need to be 180-200+ at 5'8 to be considered a good size by the body building community.

I will be happy at 185-190 lean as ****. Soon as I get my abs I am doing a very slow clean bulk.

You'd probably need to be 180-200+ at 5'8 to be considered a good size by the body building community.
    Thanks, that is good info.

Do not focus on the number!

The weight that you are is of no matter. While it certainly is a good tool to use when bulking and cutting, in the end, the number means nothing. It doesn't matter if you're 180 or 160, if you have 17" arms, or 16".......the only thing that matters is how you look.

LOL. I guess I will always be scrawny then. I will never make it to 250 and be under 12% bodyfat.
