The "Feel Good" Thread! (serious)
IIT I exude optimism with a touch of realism with lots of uplifting motivation.
I have been noticing a lot of very sad things going on in here. I have always been one for wild optimism, so I just want to make you guys feel better... Even if I don't like you, I will be positive. ( I like for everyone to be happy, even if it's not realistic. Just how I am... I try)
Please. If you need some one to cheer you on, lift you up, or be on your side for once... I will try my darndest to make it happen!
If anyone replies negatively to someone else's post... I will neg you.
Ready.... GO!

Good question I find it hard to 'think' positively. I'm definitely on the realist/pessimist camp with a touch of ambivalence.

No texting or anything like that. It's really not my favorite. Only three letters in the past two months
I was a barn today helping. I started volunteering at a therapeutic riding place. I really like the woman who runs it and she lets me ride the hoses after, and I'm helping her train the two youngest. AND my friend just moved to a farm close to my house and she has two horses for me to finish I've been riding a lot. No competitions for me until next summer but I am going to help with horses at a fair next weekend.
I'm in school, and I love it.
How is school for you?

things with my girl and me have been pretty ****ty for about the past month or so...they were really great, amazing to be honest for the first month up until she got really busy. Now its just so frustrating and just sad that we were so happy and now it sucks. She has very little time for anything because of school and all the extracurricular activities she does, and we rarely talk...i just don't know what to do anymore I just want to be happy with her...but i dunno what to do

no emails? why not write him now? I love getting letters
that sounds AWESOME! REALLLY... Sounds like your world is looking up!
I'm surviving in school. ha. I'm going to be working two jobs starting next week and have a bunch of back treatments and sessions and whatnot going on, but I'll get through them. The academic side of it all is FAB... and I turn in more of my Greece paperwork in tomorrow!

do you go to the same school? have you tried to work yourself into her schedule? (anything is SOMEthing) if you had a time slot of time with your girl, what would you do with her to make the most of it?

Things are great
Two jobs, that's gonna be craziness. But I'm glad school is going well.

Guys across the street and I are stuck in the "staring-at-you-from-afar" phase. HALP GUISE.
Obvious attraction is damn obvious (he stares from his window and I can see his huge ass shadow lol). It's this hump that I/we need to get over. I think I'm going to wave the next time we see each other lol.

That's a great idea, especially if he's a little shy. It's definitely better than nothing.

Do you guys talk about your interests at all? like about your job and your friend moving closer? do you SHARE any interests? If you pull enough out... you can get a full page or more. and just letting him know you WANT him to be interested and are TRYING to make things flow... well, its just plain nice to hear
Yeah 2 jobs=hella money so I can pad my wallet for Greece expenditures as well as a trip out to cali for a week or so wif mah man!
you should come out for spring break! we get 2 weeks... I'm thinking ITALY! lol

How does she say you 'stress her'? Senior year can be really hard on some ppl. Mine was JAM PACKED with **** I had to deal with and college stuff among other things. Have you let her know that you only want her to be happy and that you support her in everything that she does? Sometimes just knowing you have support can take some of the weight off.

I'm stuck living 20 miles from the beach where I don't want to be. I can afford to move out that way if I want. Trick is, I moved in to help out my grandmother late last year, she died in feb., my grandpa can't see so Ive been here helping him with things. I think its my moms damn problem personally and that I've suffered through this enough. She won't take responsibility and deal with it, SHE should be here, not me. I really, really want to leave and go back to having fun, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Oh no, all ready called her out on it hardcore a few times. I was just kinda throwing it out there to see if she could make it positive.
I know the only thing I can really do is say '**** it, peace out' and leave.
Just seeing how bree can be positive about that.

A few years ago I had to be my grandma's home-health nurse. My aunt had come down to take care of her from ohio, then one day while she glaced back for a second, my grandma fell and broke her hip. My aunt was terrified to touch her after that and I had to stay the night in her hospital room night after night then go to school and extracurriculars and whatnot then go back to stay with her. This went on for MONTHS but I was too dumb to say anything and I became depressed over it. This was my Senior year of hs and all I wanted to do GTFO of the hospital. FINALLY... bc I was so depressed, I told my dad (it was his mother) that I wouldn't do it anymore.
CLIFFS:
-took care of gma
-didnt say anything and got depressed
- said something then;
My dad said " Ok, all you had to was say something, We'll figure it out"...
and then I FACEPALM'd myself and went to college...
main point was... HAVE YOU SAID ANYTHING? Have you tried to help them come up with alternatives? or even about a home-health nurse?

I tried. Talked about, yelled and cursed about. I make my opinions very vocal. Mom just can't be reasoned with, she wants to be independent or wtf ever and do her deal trying to act high society when she isn't.
Sorry for thread de-rail.
EDIT: Sorry if you got mad? I didn't mean anything bad. Just hard to put a positive spin on it. ;p

Suggesting things that take the pressure off of HER? Is she the only child?
I really think home-health nurses are amazing ppl... They have helped sooo much in my family... Have you suggested something like that?

I am trying to get out of debt, pull a 3.5 gpa in college taking 19 hours, study on my A+, CCNA (to get both by spring at latest), Review Japanese so I don't have to audit 111 before I go back to 122, get back into writing and drawing(Practice 1hr a day each min), and find a damn workout that when done properly gives me the results i want and helps me sleep. This whole being awake 90% of the time and sticking at the same weight when I eat 1600-2000 a day and work out 6 times a week is bull****. Oh, and need to make sure my health insurance wasn't canceled (srs) and see whether it will cover going to an endocrinologist.
But I did watch Robocop 3 about 4 am this morning...

While I don't know what half that stuff means (lulz), what I DOOOO see is that you need some CHILL TIME! It's important to maintain a balanced 'self' so you can balance your life. Being able to handle the stress when you come to it, is just as important as the things CAUSING the stress!
THANK GOODNESS FOR ROBOCOP!!!!! PHEW!!!

Obvious attraction is damn obvious (he stares from his window and I can see his huge ass shadow lol). It's this hump that I/we need to get over. I think I'm going to wave the next time we see each other lol.

Go for it.
Nothing wrong with a chick making the 1st move. A lot guys (contrary to what some say on here) actually do like it.

I'm the same way bro. Trying to get a touch more optimistic while remaining realistic.

I really think home-health nurses are amazing ppl... They have helped sooo much in my family... Have you suggested something like that?

Sure is. Home health nursing would be awesome, but, can't afford it and my grandfather wouldn't accept it. Pretty lame situation.

most insurances cover it... and when it all comes down to it, you may have to just go over your gpa's head to do what is best for him. you may even have to move some things around to where his insurance WILL cover it.
My gma didnt want to go into a nursing home with all of her being, but she became even too much for home health to take care of, so we, as a family, were forced into sending her there.
Depending on how bad he actually is, mind you. Is he still rather 'together'?
did you say yes to the only child thing?

I know but the difference in my situation is that the attraction is obviously mutual which is huge. I already know what to expect.
It's more like, "So who's going to be the on to say/do something first?". I guess I'm going to be one the to man up lol.
2 weeks man, 2 weeks it's been like this!!
