If you had a choice of knowing exactly when you were going to die...would you really want to know? If so...why.
I personally would say no...

Yes, and I would like to know so I could do everything I wanted to do before I died, and I could have time to prepare. Maybe that's just me though.

I've pondered what I might want to accomplish before dying and honestly there's not really anything that I feel a need to do. However it would be nice to have an idea of how long I'm going to live so that I can get an idea of how much money will be needed. My vote is yes, I would like to know when I'm going to die.

Hell yeah! I'd luv to know when i'm gonna die, and live every moment like it was my last ( ironic eh?) , i'd also do anything to prevent my death (yes i know, preventing it will probably trigger it)...blah blah, blah, i'd also rob a bank or something

2) Preventing it would indeed be pointless, because you know when it's going to happen. My advice would be try to be sleeping at the time.
3) Nothing better than boosting the crime all up to hell simply because you'll be dead. I mean who really cares about the people you leave behind, really?

Only if I was going to live long enough to be an old, decrepit burden on society so I could kill myself while I still had competence and mental faculty.

Nope...don't wanna know. I'd rather live without the knowledge of how soon I'll be leaving my kids behind. There's too much I want to get done too..and I hate to feel rushed. It'll happen when it's time and I don't wanna know when that time is.
Altho I can tell you how I'm gonna die...all I know is that it involves a white Camaro. 2nd gen body style. Weird huh?

not at all. just think if you were told when you were gonna die how much strain that would be put on you. ie....... doing whatyouwanted to do before you pass, being with friends and fam, makin money.... etc. to me just do it now while you can make your money do waht you want to do be with your family and your friends and all that. then when that day comes you know you did everything and ur ready to go.

1) It would be impossible for you to enjoy anything you did knowing your death is looming overhead. The last even year, maybe even last 5, would be miserable, knowing each day is getting closer. I mean did you ever have to try enjoying yourself before you move away from your best friends as a kid? It's impossible.

I dont want to know. Knowing we're all going to die at some point PERIOD is bad enough. I dont enjoy my life any less now, not knowing. Can you honestly say that if you knew, that that last week, Month or year would not be filled with some saddess. Not knowing allows me to live EACH day to the fullest.
And how would my loved ones feel if they know when I was going to die, especially if it was before them. Not far to them. I would like to think I have a long life ahead of me, but If I found out in advance I only have a year left (26 now) that would be devasting.
Do you know of anyone after leaving a doctor, with bad news that they have a terminal illness and will only live x amount of time, jumping for joy because they now of an idea of when there going to die? I dont!

Maybe its half empty, or maybe its as full as its gonna get!
The point in LIFE is to live each day to the fullest, not in view of our death!

Would rather know. I've known many people with terminal illness who knew they would be dead in less than 6 months. They are always depressed, but then they are at peace with it. It's a kind of peace that only comes with the knowledge of when you're gonna go.

No. I'd hate to have to watch the clock.

Nope. I already got enough things to worry about in life.

If I knew I had 4 years to live what would happen if I jumped in front of a bus? - Ok so we've already established the impossibility of such a situation but....
I would take out all my money and get ****ed up and get in a high speed chase and time it so that I die just as the police touch me, leading to a big investigation muahahahaha. The Buff House, The Buff House, the Buffest, Toughest Joint in Town - Buff Club

I like how many people involve major crime sprees in their final actions.
Hooray for human nature.

Maybe the major crime spree is how they die...ie getting shot. See all the criminal people are assuming it's natural death, but death is death. So in a highspeed chase, you might wreck. Or during a bank robbery, you might get shot. Nobody said how you were gonna die, just that you were gonna die.

Nah it completely takes the fun out of the remaining time, you should already be living every day to the fullest so why does it matter?
