Seeing as it hits 20 in 2nd gear, we can now eliminate the WG/Vacuum leaks.
So now we have spark/fuel.
1. Even if you have pulled fuel 6 times, are you monitering the AFR? What is it? Is it richer than 12:1?
2.Your spark gap is very wide. I would imagine trying .30 and seeing if that improves.
Something is causing your engine to stop producing a spark, and the combination of a rich mixture with wide gaps can create this scenario.

I don't suppose you have a fuel pressure gauge in the car do you? With it cutting out in 3rd and not 2nd, I suspect it's fuel related since the car is dumping far more fuel at 17psi in 3rd than it would be in 2nd. Not that a gauge would for sure tell you, but being able to monitor the pressure during a pull might give you some info.
I think if it were spark related you would be cutting out in every gear, not just 3rd. I ran into a similar issue a few years back, turned out one of the in tank lines going from one of the pumps to the npt fitting had come loose and was just spraying fuel back into the tank. So the car would run fine under no load, but under boost it would go lean as hell and cut out. Not that I think this is your exact problem, but I suspect it's fuel related.Mechanics and brahs who wrench, check out my tool website at www.toolvector.com for some good deals. If he can monitor the FP while the car is under load that would def tell what is happening.
If his car went that lean, I would imagine it would detonate (unless timing has been pulled) with that much boost.(?)
I agree, and think fuel is somehow being cut off, and that the spark is also being affected by his plug gaps.**Voted Misc's Quickest Whip**

I went 10.6 @ 136 when the car was making around 650whp. I got sick of breaking parts every time I hit the drag strip, so I haven't run it at the current power. It's wierd, I can beat the hell out of it on the street all summer long, but as soon as I stage it at the quarter...something expensive always breaks. I've always wanted to run a 9 with it, but I get a lot more enjoyment out of having fun with it on the street than breaking parts and slamming my head against the wall at the track...pick your battles I guess.

Nice to see a supra owner track their car. Its so weird to see comparison numbers between our cars. My friend ran 10.9@128 (4000lb car). You guys always mph so high.
Sadly, I had to leave for school as soon as I finished my car. It has 10s in it if I set it for kill and drop slicks on it, but I don't want to. I built this car to be the fastest true-DD car around and have no issues. I overbuilt the top end and have a good monitoring system (ecu piggyback will auto-correct AFR) for the car so I can run without worry. My goal was a 11.5, however that will be gained rather easy I believe. Luckily the guy helping me tune the car was running 10.5s in a 3500lb car with 500whp back in '94, so I know I am in good hands.
If I can crack an 11.5, I will be happy. If I break into 10s I'll shiet my pants. This car was built to drive everyday (the only reason I don't is the rariety, it is 1 of 1,035, and even less with my options).
I imagine with your 200whp more, and a swift launch, that .6 will come off!
What parts would you break?**Voted Misc's Quickest Whip**

Yeah these things aren't drag cars by any means, but they sure have some legs on 'em! I was having a real bad run with clutches. I fried 3 single discs in a row that claimed to be able to hold the power the car was making. Finally I got sick of it and went all out on a quad disc setup made for 1200+hp. It's aggressive as sh*t and noisy...but at least it's holding up.
I'm in the same boat as you with wanting the car to be a true DD and not sacrifice any creature comforts. My car is heavy as **** with a big stereo, A/C, and prettymuch every other accessory it came with. Also runs on E85 (that stuff is everywhere up here), so the 844 is on tap whenever I want it. I think it makes everything all the more worth while when you can enjoy it on a daily basis in comfort as oppose to a few times a season for 10 seconds at a time. Sounds like you have a nice rare beauty there, props!

Last week me and my dad installed a new deck, sub and amp into my 99 explorer. Loving the base haha.
Today I got around to fixing up my exhaust. When I purchased the car it was loud as hell and I knew there were holes somewhere. Got around to finding them last week, about 5 pencil size holes, and one an inch and a half around haha.
10 feet of muffler tape and a few hours of work later my dad and I had it all sorted out. Sounds much better now, and if it holds I saved myself a couple hundred bucks.
Did some other misc work today too, made sure my spare is good, tire pressure, reset the tires, tried figuring out my ABS problem.
Fun day for me,and learnt a lot.
Ill get some other pics up later.

Spark blow out.
Well gents, I just gave PFI the go ahead to build a bullet proof 3spd auto. After chewing up my 4th 3rd gear synchro last night, im done with the 5spds. Im just making to much power for it, and if im buying a built tranny, Im going with an auto since my turbo is so large. Im stoked and can't wait to get in the car!

I'm slightly irate right now. One of the few reasons why I bought the coupe was oddly enough because it was turbo'd yet the owner retained every single OEM part and all of the emissions units so he could take it back to stock and easily pass smog since nevada is a dickface about smog check.
So I spend a few days taking back to stock, ruined a few gaskets, drained the oil a now the engine is a healthy running mostly stock 98 ka24de with a brand new catco oem cat. I take it to the smog station and it ****ing fails, miserably. apparently the egr valve doesn't function like it should. I took it apart, cleaned it, replaced the vacuum lines, drained the gas to 1/8th of a tank, added a quart of alcohol and beat the piss out of the car for about 20 minutes then smogged it again. Still no pass. looks like I'm going to have to find a smog guy...
In good news, I got my my cams, valves/springs. Didn't take any pictures installing them cause I was dirty as fuuuuuck but it idles so good now coolface.jpeg
This is what sub 200whp looks like. /so mad i have to order a new turbo gasket kit before I install my **** again. this 200hp nonsense just isn't going to cut it

He isn't.
The only redeeming factor to making that car a "daily" car was its 5spd.
Now with that turbo, and engine disp. he will need at minimum, a 4500rpm non-lock (locking is pointless and doesn't help spool) and if he wants it so actually spool fast, he'll need a 5k converter.
you show me a car with over 4k stall converter and I'll show you a car you aren't driving daily.**Voted Misc's Quickest Whip**

Scratch the ****ing auto trans.... Was speaking w/ a few people, and they wont last past 650hp.... so thats not an option. The guys running 9's on autos are going through them like crazy. Im not to fond of having to own 3-5 $6000 auto trans to make it through 1 season...
Was speaking with PFI and we decided to go ahead and do this.
Going to buy another 5spd. Tear it down and cryo treat all the gears. I have a Billet input shaft, billet shift selector and billet shift forks already. With those + a cryo treated gear set It should be able to hold 800hp without to much of an issue. Total cost of a built 5 spd is going to be around $3,500 compared to the $6,000 auto that wont hold the power I need it to.
So, in a few days im ordering:
ACT Twin disk clutch
AEM EMS
NX or NOS n20 system. Figure a 50shot to help w/ spool.
Good way to spend $4,000 me thinks!

^very good way to spend $4k except I'm not a huge fan of act, I've had some problems with them in the past.
So brahs, after seeing tons of rats and bobbers on the road I decided I have to have one. I've ridden sportbikes on and off since I was 16 but they don't really interest me mainly because I don't want to end up dead. I've always had a soft spot for bobbers/rat bikes. I want to build one but to be honestly I don't know a single thing about them so i'd rather start off with a cheap one, learn everything and go from there.
I've found these so far, what do you guys think? I'm capping my price at $6k

Well the only way I can tune on DSP is through my buddies dealer software. And he is so busy, it took almost 4 weeks to get a pump gas tune, and thats not even finished yet. Im just getting the EMS and tuning with that. I can do all 3 maps in 1 day on the dyno. In the end of the day EMS is BOSS!!!!!!!
I was going to do a PFI Dog Box, but the R&D kinda just fell off.... Only other option is through rage-tek and he was banned from the national forums for scamming people, and I dont trust him with thousands of dollars.

Hey GN. You should buy this car. Could make it a daily driver or something.

^lol reminds me of that video of the kid test driving a mustang and grinding the **** out of the girls lollol. Try searching forums over craigslist/autotrader generally you can get a better deal, especially if your looking to buy one with wheels/suspension and whatnot.
Still haven't found a bike yet
got my powered by max tension and traction rods installed. I'm working on inking a deal with them for a full 2011 season sponsorship.

Thank you sir.
Fortunately, it has a warranty. Unfortunately, that means no mods.
As for your car decision, I usually just wait for the deal of a century to come along.
That, or decide whether or not you need 4 seats/trunk space.
I personally hated my convertible because it was loud, and if you're tall you end up greasy when putting the top down from all the wind.3k+
