I have an 8900 and an iphone. Got the 8900 just because I have always liked Blackberries. Used it a week and went back to iphone. It's a good phone, but it's just not the same. iphone ftw.

Never used the 8900, I used the older 8300. Played around with the 8900 before though, feels nicer, but the lack of 3G dropped a few points. Camera seems great though.

I have the 9000 and consider it the best phone overall on the market. Of course the 8900 has certain specs that are better so it's really a personal choice. It does everything I need it to and the 3g/wifi option is a huge plus for me. The camera is eh, it is fine for me since I really don't take pictures but the 8900 blows it away. There is always going to be a new smart phone coming out so I wouldn't think about how there are newer versions coming out. The old curves are still very popular and far from being obsolete so I can see using my 9000 for years. I kinda wish I had the iphone 3gs but just because it is fun to play with but practical use I'd go with a Blackberry 9000 or the 8900
