Incline and flat bench press on same day

Is it a good combination, or should I just stick to one?
I have a good joke about water retention. But I'm going to hold onto it for now.

    Good idea to do both.
Maybe do Incline DBs and Flat BB one day, Flat DBs and Incline BB on another day.

You want to hit all of the chest, not just one part.

do both. do variations. do everything.

there are so many ways to hit your chest. mix it up with various barbell, dumbbell and cable exercises from different angles.

Alright, cuz currently i'm doing cable crossovers, dumbbell flyes, flat and incline barbells. Should I do decline or is it not worth doing?, because I hear a few ppl say it shouldn't be done.

i dont but thats up to you. my lower chest is more developed than my upper so the majority of my chest routine is focused on incline's and various cable exercises.

the decline press is a tool in the gym just like EVERY SINGLE OTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT.
i use it because i can go heavier than flat bench on it which in turn increases my flat bench slowly...but it does. Just gotta be smart with machine choices and as long as your moving forward in your training your doing great!

Whoa whoa whoa brah. WTF are you talking about? There is no gray areas in bodybuidling. It all has to be black and white. Either / or. This or that. None of this do both bullsh*t!!!!

Paulie, if you like decline, do decline. If you like flat, do flat. They both work pretty much the same general area. You can go your whole lifting career not doing flat, or not doing decline. Mnay people do. There is a large divide of people on both sides of that chasm. There is also a large chunk that do both. It is up to you.

I do both in my chest routine. I do flat first and incline second. I switched it up every now and then but always do both either db or bb and finish chest with flys.

I just started a new chest workout which starts with supersets of flat BB/DB then BB incline, cable crossovers or pec deck and finishing with dips. 3 weeks so far and i've definitely made gains. I'd say definitely do flat and incline on the same day

Depends on chest development and what you're lacking. I personally, don't do any flat. Just different variations of incline.

I warm up with the pec deck machine, then do incline with BB, then pull downs, then flat with DBls and then finish it up with flat bench flyes.

Why do you do a back exercise in the middle of your chest day?

I did flat DB and incline BB on the same day for some time with excellent results.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

    Chest Workout

My chest is more developed towards lower and middle area. My upper chest area is under developed. Should I stick to doing incline only or involve flat and decline as well?
