6'4" and 245 lb. down from 285. Yes it's nice to know Im not the only one having a hard time making gains. I am curious what some of you guys have found to be some solid techniques in the gym for gaining mass on our bigger frames? higher rep counts? lower rep counts? strip sets? pyramids? What kinds of things tend to work better for us over the smaller guys?

I'm in the 6'3"-6'4" range; I guess it depends what day you ask? Eh, whatever.
Weight? Well, that's another weird thing. I'm not really sure, since different scales are giving me wildly different numbers, and I'm not sure which one to believe, although I'm leaning towards the scale I use at the gym because a) it's a professional scale, like the ones you see in doctor's offices (with the sliders and everything) and b) my scale at home, while digital, came from KMart/WalMart/Target/someplace similar. I do know my weight is much higher than it should be, and I'm workin on bringing it down. :-D

Not sure if you got a response to this (I know I'm replying kind of late) but have you looked at a Dodge Charger? I had one as a weekend rental last year, and was actually really surprised by the interior room. You could also check out the Pontiac G6; might not be easy to find now that GM has discontinued the Pontiac brand, but I tried one out at the auto show a few years ago, and when I put the seat all the way back I almost had trouble reaching the pedals. NEVER had that happen to me before.
OK, one more; I've got a buddy who's taller than me (but skinny; go figure) who drives a Chrysler PT Cruiser that seems to fit him well.

I am 6'7" 280 right now. As for clothes the best place I have found so far is Dillard's big and tall section. Every store is different so if you have multiples in your area make sure to check all of them out! Also, everytime I find something that fits I buy 3 of them so that I can rotate them and not have to wash clothes every other day.
A funny story that happened to me: When I had just finished college football I dropped down to 255lbs and 13ish% body fat but had 19" arms and kept the bench around 400lbs. I was standing in the midnight line waiting for a new Halo* game to come out. I was wearing my doc marten boots which make me almost 6'9" and a tight fitting shirt. I felt this tug on the back of my pants leg and this kid about 5 or 6 looks up and says "excuse me mister but are you a spartan?" I was stunned because until someone says something I always think of myself as a normal guy. I looked around for the kids dad and saw him nodding his head trying to tell me just to play along. So I said yeah and talked w/ the kid for a little while. After I had bought the game the kids dad came up to me and thanked me saying that I made his kids night.
*For those of you that don't know Halo is a game where the main character is a genetically altered human that is about 7' tall and a pure slab of muscle and athleticism.
