Giving it your all...

I'm just curious - how do you KNOW you are giving it your all?

I have had remarkable results in the past 2 years that I've started my journey...but I can't help but wonder if I am truly pushing myself. I work with an online trainer and LOVE it - but miss that aspect of being pushed by someone....

How do you ensure that you are pushing yourself (without harm) to the max?

I do think that giving it your all is a key principle in turning good results to GREAT and I want to make the most out of every minute in the gym..

i know that im giving it my all when i get that certain feeling inside that tells me im done....ive pushed myself to the max on this particular workout...im drenched with sweat and cant lift another ounce of weight....I do agree tho that when u workout with someone the intensity is always a notch higher...but ive never had trouble pushing myself...just throw on some crazy instense music..watch some motivational vids before the gym and envison your overall goal before every lift....works every time for me

SelfMadeEasy is has no reputation, good or bad yet. (0)
I think that you are giving it your all if you are quite satisfied right after. If not, then maybe you didn't push yourself hard enough. Good Job though nevertheless.

My mindset might be a little different but i know that i'm giving it my all when i'm so tired afterwork that i don't even want my shake i just want to go pass out, and then again the next morning when i'm so sore i don't want to get out of bed.

Shakes are only 20% of my diet program, and solid foods are my true focus!

I went through that phase and have since educated myself here at BB.com. Carb aches is a major issue that most are confusing with joint pains!

The SuperSite here at BB.com is a great place to start!
Have you thought about casein instead of getting up to have a shake then going back to bed? It is a slow release protein that last longers in your stomach and was designed to be consumed right before bed to last through the night.

For me its just when you know that you really dont have anything left to train with and walk away from the gym happy that you give it your all. You will know deep down if you pushed hard and did your best.
