People Are Idiots (RANT)
Ok so I'm sitting in one of the buildings on campus waiting for my class to start and this girl who is "skinny-fat" not fit at all is sitting across from me.
She starts weighing out her food and her boyfriend looks at her funny and asks her why-->Her response "I have too. I am trying to lose like 20lbs and I want to know how much of everything I am putting into my body."
Just so you can picture it. She weighs out one piece of broccoli, one grape tomato, and lettuce from a store bought salad. She takes all the bacon, ham, eggs, and cheese off and throws them away (her reasoning behind this, is these thing are all full of fat).
Her bf pulls out a bag with an apple, a banana, and a plum in it and offers her one. She takes plum saying it is full of all the complex carbs her body needs; the banana is "super high" in sugars (its really green by the way), and the apple is essentially "pure cane sugar".
God people frustrate me.

It's sad, but she wasn't doing more bro-science than some people here on the board...
At least she's trying, eh?

Aye. As what was also stated earlier, we all were noobs at one time too.
Time, trial n' error, and research. Gotta start somewhere though.

Repz!
I tell my clients all the time that if you don't like it change it. Negativism doesn't help anyone i.e. the given situation.
On one hand we have a girl who doesn't like the way she looks and is trying to make a conscious effort to change although her means may be misguided that is all she knows.
On the other we have girl who has the knowledge and ability to assist another achieve there goal and not struggle just to fail who also has a problem; she doesn't appreciate others ignorance but instead of changing what she doesn't like she choses to "Rant" about it.
Maybe you will be fortunate enough in your life to have someone else who sees you taking inappropriate action and would instead offer help to you along the way?

In all reality she probably wasn't that far off track....I mean it takes practice to be a good dieter.
I've done some really funny diets, that of course never worked but that is how I learned.
Then I took that knowledge to a NPC bodybuilding competitor and hired him, boom shockalacka = Ripdom

...and that bothers you enough to make an entire thread about it?
Good thing you don't work at my work; the things you'd hear some of my colleagues say in regards to "diet" and "nutrition" would prolly have you drop to the floor and start convulsing

I've definitely heard/seen worse at work and from other peers.
I think what frustrates me the most is that I want to help them, or at least guide them to this website that is full of more knowledge than I would be.
But I agree with all of you that we all have to start somewhere, I certainly did, and it took a long time to fully understand my body and how to eat appropriately depending on its needs and my goals.
But had some random chick/guy come out the blue and try to start correcting what I had thought to be right at the time, I probably would have looked at them like they were the idiot. For this reason I keep my mouth shut (which really is the best thing considering I am in no way "qualified" to be offering nutritional guidance).
Really wasn't trying to come across as a p****
