    Workout nutrition?

    Here's my plan for today:

    11:30am - 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 medium banana
    WORKOUT from 1 til 2:30
    2:30pm - Protein bar (300 cal,38g carbs); Glass of milk(90 cal). Total = 51g carbs; 29 grams protein
    4:30pm - Chicken,small bowl of salad, 1 medium yam

How am I doing? Is my post-workout meal alright? Too many carbs/not enough carbs? Should I switch up some stuff?

    I'm 120lb btw.

Yo definitely need to eat more calories and up your protein intake. I would suggest replacing the protein bar with a protein shake because they have better ingredients and less added sugars, etc. Good Luck!

You need some protein with that oatmeal and banana. Most meals should have a protein and a carb and a healthy fat.

If you don't eat breakfast you should. Oatmeal(slow carb), banana(fruit sugar) and some eggs(protein) would be a great breakfast.

Then get some high protein meat like chicken breast, tuna or other fish like salmon in there with a slow carb like a potato and some fiber like mixed veggies.

Tell us more about your goals and how you want to eat.

    post-workout nutrition

Any good ideas for post workout carbs besides gatorade? My trainer has me on protein powder mixed with gatorade but I'd prefer real food.
