Blueberries

Recently I started consuming blueberries. In the course of a day I would add a small container (200-250 berries) of them throughout the day to my myoplex vanilla protein shakes. (They are absolutely delicious like this) There was about a week lag from consumption to when I started experiencing severe pain in the bathroom due to constipation.

I have narrowed it down to the blueberries b/c my gf was also consuming blueberry protein shakes with me after the gym and she had the same issue. We both stopped eating blueberries, and 2.5 weeks later no more painful poops.

I find it rather surprising there is absolutely nothing on the internet suggesting that blueberries can cause this issue. As a matter of fact, the converse is often shown on websites, suggesting that blueberries can help with constipation.

Any nutrition gurus want to offer some insight?

I know many people make the mistake of a high fiber diet, without adequate water intake. This can lead to constipation. If blueberries constipate you, avoid them. Everyone's bodies work differently. Yours must not like blueberries

Try upping your water intake and see what happens. If not, just stay away from them blueberries.
