best case would be 0g cause it has no nutritional value and will cause an unnecessary spike in insulin levels if too much is consumed

Post workout shake.... around 100gr or so.....
And that's really about it..... maybe some fruits during the day....
but no soda, cookies, sugar in your tea/coffee.... drop 'em all!

This assumes you are talking about table sugar. If the sugars are coming from fruits, then this advice is not good.

I don't really watch my sugar intake, but everything I consume is sugar free anyways (except milk & fruits).
And I don't see the point of sugar PWO, really. You don't deplete your glycogen that easily during a single workout.

I would go with a packet of splenda over 1-2 spoons of sugar.

1-2 spoons of sugar in your coffee is nothing... unless what you call a spoon is actually a half cup. If you're actually using a teaspoon or two though, even if they're "piled high" teaspoons that are actually 2 full teaspoons each, you're talking like 16g of sugar or 64 calories at the worst.
If that's all the sugar you add throughout the day, I wouldn't worry about it at all. If having it makes your coffee that much more enjoyable and it helps keep you on your diet in the long run, you can make other sacrifices to make up for it if you feel the need.
I don't worry about sugar specifically. It's the total carbohydrate intake that matters, and whatever amount of sugar I want to eat *within* that total carb intake is completely fair game. How many carbs you set as your limit depends on your diet and activity but if you wanted to cut on 200g, it's not a problem at all as long as you burn it off and it actually makes for a pretty flexible diet.
