Has anyone ever done the math to see how many alienated wrestling fans left after WCW began it's downward spiral and was subsequently purchased by Vince? I'd assume you could look at the combined ratings during the peak of the Monday Night Wars and then subtract that from what the WWE averages now.
It seems for so long TNA has been trying to be like WWE and steal fans from them. This obviously isn't working, or if so it's at a snail's pace. They need to be the alternative they promised to be and gave us a glimpse of in their early days.
It's frustrating to see TNA go the Ferrera/Russo/Hollywood writer route when they could potentially have minds like Cornette, D'amore, Heyman. Men that understand the intricacies of the business. Men who know how to book professional wrestling, not so much sports entertainment.
