Even a small change . . .
A couple of weeks ago I hurt my foot, so I switched my routine around a bit to keep off of my feet. For example, rather than do alternating dumb bell curls standing, I did them sitting down. I was surprised how different it felt, and what a good pump I got. The exercise hit my shoulders and forearms differently from the standing form.
I've now added the seated curls to one of my biceps routines at the end of the workout, since I use less weight than in the standing position.
