Im soooo pumped to hear this album.

I think "a looking in view" is amazing. The song really grew on me these past few weeks. Love the lyrics, musicianship etc.

Ok people will go on how it lacks Layne, but try and approach it with an open mind.

I have the title track with Elton John featuring on vocals is going to be truly epic.

this is another cool song from the new album, cant wait to hear it. i know it sucks that layne isnt gonna be on it but after listening to jerry cantrells solo work, especially degrdation trip, i think its gonna be a solid album. i havent really heard any songs with that new guy on it so its hard to tell if he's any good. just found out theyre coming to poland in like 2 months and im definetly going, cant wait. i actually started listening to AIC about a year ago and they automatically became my favorite band right along with deftones.

I just saw them live last weekend. Obviously no one can ever replace Layne, just cannot be done IMO. However I thought the new guy did a good job and it was a good show, I have liked all I have heard from the new album so far. I think it will be a strong release from them when it drops....

Only listened twice but some of the tracks seriously knock me out

It's solid. If you can look at it objectively without the "There is no AIC without Layne !!!!" mindset it's pretty damn good.

Been reading up on Layne Staley and to be honest his whole life story was quite upsetting. Its the first time i took solid interest in checking out the bands history etc.

Have "Nutshell" on repeat at the moment.

Anymore thoughts on the new album? I love it, though i thought Elton Johns voice would be more present on the title track.

downloaded it a couple of days ago and its relly good. i wish it was a little heavyer but i still like it. if youre craving more AIC check out jerry cantrells degradation trip, its a heavy a*s album and its basically AIC. just found out theyre gonna be playing in poland in 2 months and i cant wait to see them. i only got into this band like a year ago and they automatically bacame my favorite besides deftones. it was a good year to get into them, they decide to drop an album this year and tour.

no its definitely not. Bad comparison because Jerry has always been like a second lead singer. He was always on back-up vocals. Its like Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young getting together without Neil Young....oh wait they did that.

Old thread I know. But I have to say, new AIC is the best music in today's music scene. AIC and Tool FTW!

My fav track, though I love the whole album, I would say it Lesson Learned. You can tell Jerry made sure this album is true to what AIC was about.
