Products from Anabolic Xtreme...
Hey guys.
I recently came by a supplement company called "Anabolic Xtreme". I've looked at some of their products, and it looks like they are not just selling "normal" supplements.
I saw many products, among this one: http://www.anabolicx.com/arsenal/hyperdrolx2/index.php
So my question is: Is this something a natural bodybuilder can use? That hyperdrol thing looked like it's a steroid.
Please explain if you can.
Thnx.

6-Bromodione is used as an aromatose inhibitor. I'm not sure if that's against the rules in the natural competitions.

Definitely not a steroid at all.
As to whether it is legal in natural BB competitions, I would check with the competition director or website to see if they have a comprehensive list. I would think they would allow it, but it may vary and I honestly don't know for sure.

dunno much about musclemania's rules, but heres what the npc says: phs are not banned, but it is against the rules for drug metabolites to show up in the urine, which phs will cause. yeah twisted i know. also some npc "drug tested" shows only require 1 year drug free lol.

Eh, technically it is steroidal, but it's not what most people consider to be a "steroid", in that it has no anabolic activity of its own. The dichotomy between what's actually a steroid, and what people think of as a 'steroid' is actually quite interesting.
There was a thread on here once where Pat Arnold was talking about how the alpha- isomer would metabolize to 6a-bromotestosterone, which would likely have similar anabolic activity to other halogenated steroids. His assumption, based on the cost of the raw product, was that the material likely contained both alpha- and beta- isomers, the former of which would convert to a potent steroid.
Not sure how it ever turned out...might have to look into that...
But I digress. It's not a PH/DS, and is in fact very different from them in how it works. It will boost your endogenous testosterone by inhibiting the enzyme that converts testosterone to estradiol and androstenedione to estrone.

If that's a serious question, just stop supplementing altogether.

I'm sure I've seen a thread about hyperdrol and it actually containing something else (apart from 6-bromo), I'll have a look

most of these supposedly "anabolic" or "steroid-like" or whatever you want to call them products are a joke. IMO, most supplements are a waste of money which is why I don't really use any. There are some legit ph's out there like decabolen and others but I don't suggest you use them. At 17, you don't need anything like that. Just stick to the basic stuff man, like creatine.

The Tren is hard to explain as an error, but 6-bromo and 6-OXO have long been debated by the chemistry elite of Supplements (and on other boards) with regards to their metabolism and decay into other compounds, as well as the difficulty in differentiating between them and illegal compounds with basic tests. To a basic test, Andro and 6-OXO should look identical, actually. They also happen to metabolize along at least one common pathway, yielding an identical metabolite, providing baseball players a perfect excuse for testing positive for Andro (IT WAS THE 6-OXO!). My understanding is that in addition to metabolism producing similar/identical metabolites, there could've been a small amount of actual contamination from manufacturing processes and/or decay of the product.
It's possible the FDA are just being douches for the sake of being douches and not really giving the products very in-depth testing...I wouldn't put it past 'em, and it could really go either way.
It's kinda disappointing, really. There was no reason to spike a 6-bromo product; it's quite effective as an AI and should've been able to boost endogenous testosterone enough to see a tangible benefit. Obviously the Tren, if intentional (likely was), was there to produce minimal detectable sides and boost the results, but they really only succeeded in shooting themselves in the foot -- although overpriced, it could've been a really successful product longterm for natural lifters wanting a boost. 6-bromo had the edge of **** products (**** IMO) like ATD because it doesn't cause libido to tank. That alone would've been enough for me to prefer using it...the alpha isomer metabolizing favorably would've just been icing on the cake.
