breakfast alternatives
Breakfast for me usually consists of one piece of fruit ( often half a grapefruit), two eggs and 3/4 egg whites and some oatmeals. Sometimes I also have some bread or rice cakes with fatfree cheese /cottage cheese or cold meat (ham, turkey, chicken).
Also I need to mention that I generally have a protein shake right upon waking up and then have breakfast a little later.
I'm presently trying to reduce my bodyfat and up to now I'm quite satisfied with the results but I'm getting a little tired of eating eggs and oatmeals most of the time, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest some alternatives for breakfast other than those I already mentioned above.
Thanks already for your suggestions

I eat this just about every morning and I do not grow tired of it: a half cup of non-fat vanilla yogurt, half cup cottage cheese, 1 scoop flavored protein powder. Some mornings I will add quinoa or oatmeal to it. I always have some fruit. Lately, I have been eating three or four prunes.
To me, it is like eating ice cream for breakfast.

How about some cottage cheese with blueberries and a handful of sugar-free granola on top?
I also poach 2 eggs in salsa (also sugar-free) and put that over one slice of sprouted grain bread.

There's a wide world of breakfast cereals available. I love Honey Nut Cheerios with chocolate whey added.

I mix a protein shake with skim milk and dump it some Kashi or Fiber one cereal. It's quick and delicious!

My usual is cheerios with 1 T oat bran, 2 T ground flaxseed meal, Vietnamese cinnamon, and non-fat dry milk. I sometimes add a scoop of chocolate whey protein and nearly always add a big handful of blueberries.
Occasionally I will toast a whole wheat English muffin and put egg whites I have cooked in a little Pyrex dish sprayed with pan spray in the microwave. I top the eggs with a slice of Canadian bacon and a slice of Swiss cheese. I like it with mustard and it makes a good breakfast sandwich.

I have been eating pumpkin custard
Sans sugar but hey some people here on BB eat sugar, I'm just not one of them.It is a high fat dish, but you can lower the fat in it simply but changeing the butter and cream ratios etc, the eggs init are a nice protein boost and the pumpkin...well we all know how good pumpkin is!

God...I eat my normal breakfast every day and if I dont im ticked..lo..RUins my whole day.
I eat at "normally" 2 fried eggs, 3 pieces turkey bacon, 1 piece whole wheat toast "plain".. I also have a bowl of oats with brown sugar, milk, and water mixed. About 12oz of milk and about 30oz french vanilla coffee.
Honestly I could eat more if I could afford it. I could probably eat every hour..ME HUNGIE!!

I am also an egg-acolic (at least for breakfast), my other alternatives are:
Cereals: Quaker oat meal squares, cheerios (with any protein powder)
Shake (almost a smoothie): natural flavor non-fat yogurt, egg beaters, frozen strawberries (or blue berries), 1 banana, all of these to the blender

breakfast does not have to be traditional breakfast food. just get your protein, some complex carbs and some fats and you're good to go.

I'll be honest, I'm growing weary of egg whites in a big way, at least first thing in the morning. My normal breakfast for two months was:
6 egg whites
1 slice whole grain toast
12 almonds
My mid-morning snack is usually a bowl of oatmeal, followed by a whey shake. I add either a teaspoon of natural peanut butter to the oatmeal, or I grab another 12 almonds with it.
Lately I've been adding one whole egg to the 6 egg whites because it makes the whole thing taste better, and I've been doing Kashi GoLean with a scoop of whey in the milk every other morning and doing the eggs as a mid-morning snack. I seem to be able to tolerate the taste a bit better after 10 AM.

How about thinking of different ways to cook the eggs... if you are eating whole eggs and then just some whites you must be scrambling everytime. I'd start there.
I love eggs too... been getting mediums for FORTY NINE CENTS A DOZEN for the last few weeks at our local Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

My favorite breakfast is pretty much what I eat every day.
It is a shake I make to get my day started off right
12oz milk
1 scoop vanilla whey isolate
1 scoop ON Oats & Whey vanilla
3/4 cup pre-ground oatmeal
1 banana
Bled up and you have a delicious shake. I really love it. The ON Oats and Whey tastes REALLY good with the honey in it and the cane juice. The pre-ground oatmeal adds a nice nutty taste. I grind it up in a blender and sift it through a screen to make sure I get it really finely ground. It is almost flour like. I just run the stuff that did not go through the first time again and then it is all finely ground. I do about 1/2 tub at a time in small batches and store it in tupperware.
It is hard to beat and I could not imagine the breakfast I would have to try to cook AND eat to get the quality of nutrients contained within. (my appetite is not all that large in the morning)

hmmmm....if I did the egg/oatmeal thing every day, the men in the white suits would have to carry me away! LOL.......
my favorite breakfast: a hamburger! don't laugh: I have a butcher who makes me custom burgers that are approximately 97/98 percent fat free......they scorch the George Foreman, they have less fat than a turkey burger and they are delicious.....
I have them on two slices of Bread for life 7 grain sprouted wheat.....
quality carbs, fiber, mucho protein......

I honestly cant imagine eating anything like that for breakfast. If I sleep in late REAL late like noonish "which only happens once a month maybe" I still eat eggs and bacon when I get up.
Crazy how different people are with things..

Thank God I read this. I thought I was some sort of breakfast weirdo. If I'm feeling really hungry, I'll make French toast with two eggs on whole wheat bread (I have a breadmaker) and put some jam on it with a big glass of skim milk, take a shower, then have a protein shake before I leave for work.
More days than not, I have a bowl of plain oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins, and a can of tuna fish, and a protein shake.
On most days I bring a protein bar or a chicken breast in a baggie and consume that in a few seconds, because I'm hungry, natch, an hour after these breakfasts.
And, I'm hungry by mid-morning, and will eat something else, like cottage cheese, or milk, etc.
What's weird is that I am viewing food more and more as a means to an end rather than an end to itself. I like cooking, but I'm cooking simpler and simpler, in bigger reheatable batches. Ding! There goes the oven timer for the five chicken breasts. Hmm, that was strange timing.

I sometimes cook my eggs the night before then just nuke them in the morning. For a little variety I'll have some pinto beans or black beans along with them. I figure the extra protein, added fiber, and some carbs makes a good compliment for the incredible edible eggs.
Man you can't beat eggs. We buy 'em in a 36 egg package for about $3.50. Even at that price I hate to waste the yolks, so they go on the beagle's dog chow. He's got a helluva shiny coat and appears to be muscling out quite a bit.
Grinding the oatmeal before putting it in the shake. What a concept? I've been prepping my protein shake the night before and man those rolled oats from Quaker can puff up and make the shake thick overnight. Duh!
