Bulking 5x5, 3x8-10, pyramid

I started to up my calories last week and think that my routine will need a change. I currently do a pyramid type scheme from a maximum fitness magazine. I have never really done a 5x5 or low rep high weight routine before, and am wondering if maybe it is time to try. I have never been on a "bulk" before either.

So my question is do any of you think that a lower rep higher weight would help me reach my goals of add some lean mass over the winter. I plan to bulk for around 3 months.

Thanks

Absolutely it will. depending on where you are in terms of being a lifter (newbie, intermediate, advanced) any 5 x 5 program will help you no problem.

Be careful about "bulking". As you can see by my sig, it works better if you take time and do it slowly in order to avoid gaining fat. Just up your calories by 200-300 a day above maintenance and lift heavy/hard in the gym.
