Jeff Hardy Arrested - "Enough Drugs to Start a Small Pharmacy"
http://backporch.fanhouse.com/2009/0...rug-charges%2F
"WWE's Jeff Hardy was arrested and jailed in North Carolina on Friday after authorities searched his home and found enough drugs to start a small pharmacy. Via ProWrestling.net, police "discovered 262 Vicodin pills, 180 Soma pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, and a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia."
Apparently, you just can't just stockpile this stuff in your industrial-sized medicine cabinet with the intent to start your own business. Even if you own one of those white lab coats.
The WWE star is facing "two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule three controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia."
Hardy's brother posted his bail -- allegedly $125,000 -- which, as PWTorch.com's James Caldwell writes, "... doesn't seem like a very smart investment" for "an estimated $2,500 worth of drugs." No, no it doesn't.
For his part, Hardy tweets that the news of his arrest has been blown out of proportion. "A lot of exaggerations are out there today, don't believe everything you read 4 it is not true, I am at home and fine-thanks for your concern."

Street value was only 2,500. This report is an example of piss poor journalism.
The amount of stuff that he had clearly shows that he was it was for private use and that he wasn't dealing or trafficking drugs. Where do they come up with this stuff, I have no idea but a judge will more than likely throwing out all except for the possession charges which in this amount is prob a misdemeanor.

Do you dive off ladders, travel the road between matches, take bumps, and repeat weekly while still weight training with Hardy's genetics?

Very true... there is so much pressure on these guys... their livelihood is their performance week in and week out, and their travel schedule is brutal. It's very sad.

As usual, Mr. Goodrum, I whole-heartedly agree.
They also said that he had enough drugs to start a small pharmacy. I disagree. I have seen some small pharmacies in my day, and let me tell you, this would have easily been the worst-inventoried one I had ever seen.
What if I needed some cough medicine? Or heartburn medication? If he were looking to start a small pharmacy, he was really going about it from all of the wrong angles.

the article didn't say anything about Thrifty ice cream....no small pharamcy goes without that. If he had some around with that residual cocaine I gotta disagree Mark.

The Hardy Boys, lo f'n l. Goth meets Pro Wrestling.
I thought Vince didn't allow steroids in the WWE? Isn't there a zero tolerance policy? I think Jeff's career just ended, off to TNA with the rest.

Jeff was in TNA a while back when WWE suspending him for drug use, it would be good to see him back. His style of wrestling and lack of mic skill is better suited for TNA anyway.
Ive got nothing but respect for the guy, its too bad kids see pro wrestlers as role models when in reality they probably live pretty unique "fast paced" lives. His own life is his own choices, and in ring, the guy still brings it.

whether or not you enjoy it is your personal preference, regardless, its a thriving industry. Jeff Hardy is known for performing very impressive aerial maneuvers and taking bumps (falls) that are spectacular to the eye. My statement of him still performing at the highest level pertains to his acrobatic abilities, rather than whether or not it is part of the storyline that he wins his matches.

I have no shame in telling anyone how much I enjoy pro wrestling,it is stage but as real as anything. There is no denying that.
Jeff turned down A LOT of money to stay wrestling,he decided to leave after his contract was up.
Jeff has taken more insane bumps then anyone and put his heart and soul into wrestling, with that being said I don't condone anything he has done,I want to think he was really looking to turn things around.
as far as the drug policy goes it is real,it's probably the best one out there. Many top stars have gotten popped.

well said regarding all the points you have made. he must have been going through some really hard times and objectively negative thought patterns in order to turn down that massive contract that didnt even include house shows, then possessing all of these substances.

The first report I read about it yesterday said 55ml. Who knows? Either way not a very smart move on his part.
