numbers on scale

Does anybody here fluctuate a lot with their weight and is it normal. I'm just worried because in a week or even two days my weight goes completely down. Last two days I weighed 125-124. I weighed myself today and I was at 122. Are these numbers really important? I kind of feel the weight loss because some of my clothes fit bigger but sometimes i think its a mentality thing(I see the number so i feel skinnier) and the reason I am worried is because I'm skinny as it is and no curves, so going down in numbers is not what I want. Let me know what you ladies think?

Absolutely normal. Hydration, how much food you have in your gut, what you ate the day before, where you're at in your menstrual cycle, and all kindsa stuff can cause your weight to vary a little from day to day. It's NORMAL for me to gain and lose 5 pounds during my cycle and I've gained even more if I eat things that cause me to bloat on top of that. You'll likely figure out what your normal range is...having a goal of not getting any smaller, you should only be concerned if you see your weight continue to go down and down over the weeks--not days because as you have seen, it can shoot right back up.

It's interesting to know, but knowing screws with your head, set a morning to weigh yourself once a week and don't weigh yourself any more than that.

ITA with amanda. Set a morning to weigh yourself and make sure that you weigh yourself the exact same way everytime. If you start barefoot, keep it that way. If you wear your shoes, keep it that way. I usually weigh myself at the same time and wearing the same clothes every Thursday morning and that's it. From there you can establish a kind of baseline weight.

I weigh myself in the morning. I take an average of the weight that I see on the scale. I don't take each measurement to heart. They do fluctuate depending on hydration or if I ate a salty meal or girl time.

I do my measurements about once a month. They aren't so up and down...at least for me. I pick a day I feel good though. It depends on where you're measuring and where you are starting. At some point you want to stop losing and start gaining...

I most def fluctuate from a day to day basis!! Actually i weigh the same as you do. Yesterday i was 122 and today i was 125...idk i contribuate it to what i ate the day before and hydration. I do weigh myself every day... EEp!! i know everyone says you shouldn't but like you said, i feel so much better(and skinner) when i see the numbers down. No worries girl, its normal.

I agree...my actual measurements don't change much more often than that. In my fattier areas, I expect 1/2 inch - 1 inch to come off with every 5 pounds or so (which would be a healthy monthly goal weight-wise).
