Can I do this? Help please? Lactic acid training

I didn't quite know what was it about but basically I was doing this kind of training this week:
e.g. on shoulder day I would do 3 exercises, 3 sets each and between I would do jump squats or lunges - is that good for fat loss??
I read a bit today and realise this is not exactly the lactic acid training, I just want to know if you can alternate between lower and upper half to shok the system.

What are your goals? What exactly are you trying to accomplish? And yes, you can seperate your workouts into upper body and lower body.
