I can't beat the bloat!!!!! :/
No matter what I eat, I cannot seem to get rid of my bloated stomach! The other day, my sister actually asked me if I am having a boy or a girl... I seriously look about 3 months pregnant. I'm a small person, a tad underweight yet my bulging bloat makes me look heavier and and takes a toll on my motivation! Anyone have any suggestions on how to beat this?? I'm desperate!

It could be a number of things. Dairy, sodium, fiber, sugar...all have the potential to make you retain water and/or have gas. But yeah, post what you're eating.

agree on dairy.
other possible reasons:
artificial sweetners, like sorbitol in sf gum, soda, too much fiber all at once, etc.
what works is more water. drink more water, more than you think you need.
i have htis problem too at times....
if you do core exercises and stretches that may help as well.

I use a 3 prong approach - not necessarily for bloat, but to aid in digestion.
1. yogurt - I have a little plain yogurt pretty much every day - no need to take the activia challenge I think regular yogurt works fine.
2. psyllium husk / fiber supplement. I like to do these twice a day with my shakes on top of all of the vegetables and oats I eat. Fiber plays a critical role in digestive health
3. digestive enzymes (supplement) - I currently use "Multi-Enzyme Probiotic Formula" by Spring Valley - you can find it at wal-mart with the vitamins. I paid $6 for a bottle. I usually take these with 2 or 3 meals a day - especially if it's a big meal. I find this helps me digest faster. Like if I need to get to the gym or something and am still full from my previous meal... this will help. It may help with "bloat" too. I think it's a decent product.
I eat around 4000 calories a day so making sure I make the most of them is important.
