i know that's what i thought too, but if you were to take 10 ml of canola oil or something you would only get about 7-8 grams of fat. which is why i thought, maybe, just maybe what if there is no equivalence between the grams of fat to the fish oil gram.

According to the nutrition facts panel:

1 softgel (1000 mg)

Total fat 1g (Saturated fat 0.5g)

ml != mg

fish oil is measured by weight, not volume. 1000mg = 1g fat.

Bottled oils are measured in volume because that is the only way to portion it.

Like others have said, the generic fish oil capsule typically has 1g of fat, with anywhere from 1/3-1/2 of that fat from EPA/DHA (the good stuff).
