Bulk going in the wrong direction

I've been seriously working out for the last month and eating as much as possible. I've made GREAT gains but put on a little more fat than I had intended. I'm going to monitor my diet more closely and possibly do a short cut, but what I'm most concerned about is losing some of my gains.

    Stats:
    5'6" 152 lbs.
    Bench: 195x1
Deadlift: 285x5 (possibly more now because my deadlifts have been shooting up the quickest)
Barbell row: 135x10 (probably more, haven't really tested myself)
    Squat: not sure

I would estimate my BF% to be around 15%. My question is if I do decide to do a short cut, are these stats still considered "noob gains" so that I will not lose any and maybe still grow stronger?

if you keep the calorie deficit slight and keep an eye on your recovery between workouts you will keep your gains and probably keep getting stronger. it is only when you go on a longer cut or start getting into the low BF%(like below 10%) that you start to have problems with maintaining muscle mass and strength. a month or so of cutting is not going to kill you lol
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

    Thanks for the reassurance!

This is kind of off topic, but what stats are typically considered "past noob gains".

if your new to lifting, chances are that you will still be able to cut some of that fat away, and still gain strength at the same time; the trick is taking your time; bodybuilding is a long process and often takes years to develop the wanted physique, just take it slow and bulk/cut at slightly over/under maintanance and you will minimize fat gains and muscle loss in the process

dont know i am still making them

srsly it is not a set time. it is dependent entirely on the person, how they train, how they eat, and how they rest. my "noob gains" netted me 30-40 pounds in a few months but i was VERY underweight considering my height(i weighed about 145-150. 3 or 4 months later i was up to 180-185 and sitting around 16-18% BF(my estimate) but then once i hit around 195 it has been a fight to keep gaining weight and keeping semi-lean while doing it... i didnt care about seeing my abs but didnt want to look obese either lol
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.
