    if you don't like it, don't eat it. But try it in different ways. I add peanut butter, berries, with yogurt, maple syrup. also, do a search for a billion other ideas

    + Chocolate whey protein (or any flavor)
    + Peanut Butter (preferably natural)
    + Cinnamon
    + Nutmeg
    + Splenda
    + Milk
    + Brown Sugar
    + Fruit
    + Vanilla Extract
    + Cocoa Powder

    Any combo of those, hell put them all in if you want. (not sure how that will taste, but probably be awesome)

    I agree with both the above posts.

    Oatmeal is great because it's a true "culinary canvas" you can make it taste like pretty much anything you can think of. I like it raw with water and protein powder...
    If there's any one skill that I've seen in champions- people who have really achieved their highest desires- it's an unbelievable level of persistence. They'll change their approach as necessary, but they won't abandon their ultimate vision.

    I usually add a couple drops of honey, tastes pretty good, I like the taste by itself but honey is a nice additive imo

    My personal favorite:

    1 cup Old Fashioned oats - powdered in a coffee grinder
    1 cup 1% milk
    2 scoops ON Cookies & Cream Whey
    1/2 scoop maltodextrin/dextrose mix

    blend it up beforehand and let it spend some time in the fridge. I'll take this over a milk shake.

    blend it. get throw the oatmeal in a blender, grind it up for a few seconds... add in whey powder, milk, peanut butter, whatever... blend it again. Drink it down no problem.

    I used to struggle to get through oatmeal - sometimes it can taste really good, but I don't have time to cook and eat it... I started blending my oats into my shakes and I am killing off the big containers of oatmeal at a fantastic rate. I like this a lot so I hope you try it out and like it too.

    all the ideas given above are good.

    one more thing you can do... don't fully cook it. Cook it enough to soften it and make it warm / slightly hot but not so much that it absorbs all the moisture, making it all oat-mealy if you know what I mean.

    You may want to try Steel-Cut Oats (specifically Mccans Irish Steel-cut). They take a lot longer to cook, but the texture and taste I find to be MUCH better than rolled oats.

    I honestly prefer Grits to Oats, but the way I do use Oats is this.

    -Grind Oats in a Coffee Grinder till it's a fine powder, pour into another bowl.
    - Mix Oats + Whey Powder + Milk or water, make shake.
    - Add Banana + Strawberries and blend again

    This is how I do it, if I'm really not in the mood for plain oatmeal at the time. Just add 1 pack of this to the plain oats and it's much more enjoyable

    i like adding fruit to mine...doesnt matter what kid, but peaches are my fav....if not i'll add some vanilla whey, and some cinnamon....lol just read about the 3year old thread....haha....still useful today though...cause plain oatmeal does taste meh!

    Okay. I just took the peanut butter advice and added a few changes. here's the recipe:
    1 Tbsp peanut butter
    1 tsp honey
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp salt

    I will personally be working on making this recipe better, as I have a giant tube of Quaker oats I need to work my way through. So far, I'm enjoying the salty direction as opposed to the sweet.
