malnourished at college
my college is the most inconvenient place on the face of the earth. They closed almost every eatery on campus this weekend bc of labor day i guess? i dont really even know to be honest. and the other one closed early, luckily i was able to get in one meal for lunch, and a bowl of cereal for dinner.
For someone who got reall sick over the summer and lost quite a bit of weight, and needs the cals to for one get through the day, and to be able to make gains, this is a reall draw back.
what can i do? and has anyone else experienced this? my college makes freshman and sophomores be on a meal plan, which is 2k per semester and is a complete rip off. im going to get an empty milk container and drain the milk at the buffet style cafeteria, the worst place for food on campus i might add. any other suggestions though would be great.

Can you not buy and take your own food? if you get your 2k from collage in and have lots of milk and say 2-3 scoops of whey a day and maybe a oat/ protein bar you should still make some decent gains!

I've heard of that. Best advice is go get good foods to be able to keep in your dorm. Oatmeal, canned tuna, canned chicken, get a little mini fridge. Keep alotta milk. And of course protein powder if you can get some. I know I'm forgetting alot of foods, but I think you get the point, just good, easy to keep stuff

i love the idea about the milk. i just realized that they always have 50 had boiled eggs too i just went to lunch lol, and so yeah, come dinner time tonight, the take out boxes that you get from one of the other (as of now closed) dining facilities which i always keep to take out food from the ****ty buffet that is the ony thing open.. lets just say theres going to be a fuxkn shortage of eggs. they try to rip people off here, and it is a buffet, so yeah haha. ima be so happy. and im takn as much milk as possible too.

eh, whey isnt really a replacement, i have a MR shake back at home that im gettn shipped out here.
the thing with whey is that its milk.... in all honesty its really not that great for you, i could just drink a **** load of milk. i plan on trying to start drinkn a half gallon a day for about a month, i dont feel like getting in trouble for stealing a gallon a day lol, but in all honesty id rather go with 1/2 for now otherwise i wld take a gallon or however much i needed.
eggs + milk= 108lbs, to 140 in a few months for me, i lost soo much weight and im pretty pissed.. no moree i say, no more!
haha thanks guys, and thanks for the too much dairy tip, i became reall sensitive and had to stop drinkn milk, its still that way id believe, but so long as i have food with it im alright. kinda stumped me why all of a sudden i got sick drinking a lot of milk on its own when i didnt have any problems with it for such a long time.

oh, im not a bodybuilder.. ive startd to focus more on aesthetics though while im at school, but in all honesty id rather have solid, permanently thicker fibers than glycogen and fluid induced hypertrophy. thats just me though, and idk, i wldnt mind it, but thats not what ive trained for, as ive only been lifting for 2 years, and i took off for the summer last year and lost a lot of it, never again will i put off my strength for girls.
