BOO-ze
okay, so it is Labor Day and I am SURE I will endulge in a few alcoholic beverages when saying farewell to summer. I have been hardcore with keto and will continue, however, figure a few drinks on one weekend won't kill me. With that said, what are people's suggestions for the best beverage to consume while on Keto? I realize I will be knocking myself out of keto, but just figured something might be better than something else!

clear liquors with diet soda is your best bet IMO
beer is probably the worst

I haven't begun Keto yet but did some research on this topic already for myself, knowing I'd need it. Vodka/Soda Water is going to be my weekend friend

In my opinion a good time is way worth a day or two of bloat. As long as you don't get the munchies and eat buffet style or something I'd say ur good to go. If you want the least impact go for vodka diet's or something to that extent.

This.....I usually go rum and diet coke/pepsi. Red wines are pretty low in carbs as well.

Love the vodka/ soda with lemon! HINT- try to have a good meal before and to have something ready after your night is done.I like to have a peice of steak waiting for me in the fridge.I tend to get cravings when ive had a few drinks.Nice to have a safe snack ready!

yeah..so I had vodka and soda's that night (and two beers..ooops!!), however, when I came home I DEVOURED a ton of PB. I dont' know what my obsession with PB is, but apparently I'm completely hooked, and when I drink, I have NO CONTROL! I'm purty pissed at myself now because after ONE NIGHT of drinking and eating an insane amount of PB I weighed myself and ALL five pounds that I lost my first two weeks have returned on the scale. Is THIS POSSIBLE?! WTF?! I have completely stuck with my diet besides this one night..ugh! No more drinking for me for awhile..NOT WORTH IT!!

Its water, not fat - so dont sweat it (lol, no pun intended)
You should lose it over the next few days I hear - I've not carbed up in the three weeks I've been on keto so I dont know from experience.

Definitely water weight. Take a few breaths....it'll be fine. I usually retain quite a bit of water when I drink but within a few days I am back to normal.

thats what I figured. usually not so insane (well, sorta!) but it was a little discouraging when i jumped on that stupid metal thing in my bathroom and saw the numbers. Figured it was IMPOSSIBLE, but you never know.
Guess I will see what happens in a few days and law off the booze for awhile. Also, no carb up for me for weeeeeks now!

this.
Very simple.
liquor....the clearer the better...rum and vodka...with diet soda or water (girls dont do it like that though)
and beer and liquers (Baileys, Kahlua) and pre-mixed candy water drinks like cruisers and breezers are the worst.
And be careful because you will get FUKKED UP real easy, sunshine.

Grey Goose Orange and club soda with a orange slice.
Be careful what you eat when drinking.
