I really love sprinting, it is my favorite form of exercise apart from resistance training. However, every time that I sprint I experience pain in my left knee afterwards. The pain is like at the back of and inside of my knee joint, and usually the knee will be sore for the next day. This really happens anytime I do anything high-impact with this knee, but things like walking do not hurt it.
Is there anything I could do to prevent this? Would something like a knee brace or knee wraps help? I've never used anything like that so I'm pretty clueless as to how they're supposed to be used and such.
Can anyone offer some advice on this issue? I'd love to be able to sprint regularly without worrying about my knee.

I've had a similar problem, and considering your healthy and have no history of knee injury I can say with 90% confidence it's your it band. It's really common, started with me because i was running a lot on pavement in shoes i had obliterated, it will get better with rest, a good pair of shoes, foam rolling, and stretching, just look up it band stretches, but I'd put emphasis on foam rolling even more.
