Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and would like to inform all figure/fitness competitors about the support and sponsorship available through American Physiques. I have been an AP member for only a few months, but am already reaping the benefits of joining the company.
First, American Physiques is a promoter. By joining the team, you are providing AP with your name and image and allowing them to promote you.
AP has various resources available to help you become more popular, more established, and a more recognized household name within the industry.
All this is done through networking, advertisement, and promotion.
Another aspect of AP is sponsorship. AP looks for beautiful, talented ladies in the industry to promote and represent. This year 5 ladies were rewarded with a full sponsorship contract. This covers various expenses like entry fees, travel for competing & photo shoots. Of course these contracts aren't handed out just because you have a pretty face. You must also put time and effort into promoting and selling the American Physiques image. This can simply be done by recruiting other ladies, selling T-shirts, working expos, speaking positively about AP and proudly representing AP at your events.
It doesn't matter if you're a novice or have been competing for several years. AP wants to work with ladies of all different levels. The one thing not to be mistaken is that hard work is required from both sides to achieve success.
There is a membership fee ($8/month) to cover promotional materials for yourself. This includes business cards, legal advice, job placement, and various other things. Take advantage of all you can to help promote yourself and be a part of an up and coming company.
Like I said, I've been with American Physiques for less than a year and am one of the lucky ones to receive a full sponosorship contract for 2007. Please take time to check the AP web site as well as my personal web site. Email me with any questions or concerns you may have about joining AP.
I'd also like to mention that I'm featured in the Oxygen March 2007 issue in the article "Tomorrow's Cover Girls". I was very excited to acheive this, so check it out.
Thanks
