Yo bro, After I finish 6 weeks of B&G I'm thinking about switching back to a volume workout. What do you reccomend? I'm thinking about PHAT, any others?
Phat is still one of my favorites. Can also try some German volume training if you want to completely destroy yourself. Of course there are lots of variations of each and you can always pick/choose other exercises you want to put emphasis on.

In my opinion his change in body composition isn't worth the TV but oh well. I think I won a blu ray player or something. Even though I didn't win the TV I don't mind, I never had any intention of winning anything or even taking part in their competition.
Well you just really need to try harder. It's not easy for anyone to get lean and stay lean in most cases. Those that get lean and stay lean just work harder whether or not you want to believe that, it might be tough to swallow but it's the truth, handle it.
Yeah better safe than sorry. Im sure you know the danger of sauna when dropping water weight. Sounds like the dude just wanted to win. Id wager that he will be back to the same place within a few months. Skinnyfat....... not even once!
Definitely got to stay dedicated and work hard. No excuses. Everyday I ask myself, why am I not where I want to be? sometimes as pwn3r said, we all have to realize the truth and stop making excuses.

I agree after gaining 10 pounds of my 30 pound loss back I fully agree its about working hard and staying dedicated. Ill be down to 140.0 by 2014 anyway so its all good.
I hit a weight loss stall trying to lose weight too quickly so im trying a slower more beneficial approach. (Im still looking to reach 138.0)

How much you weighing bro? Surely not 230? Lol you bulking brah haha?
Im just being a cheeky kunt. What's going on in your world man?
I actually am. Every time I start to lean out I realize I am not as big (LBM wise) as I want so I wanted to go again for another serious well planned bulk. It's winter here anyway so dont need to be super cut. Successful bulk is successful too. Im pretty much done I am thinking. Time to SLOWLY lean out and maintain as much size/strength as possible. Just been working and lifting my man, story of my life! I told you I went to see Ferry Corsten earlier this month which was awesome. Fedde le grand is the 29th and every time I watch his sets it gets fuarkkkk they look incredible . I cant wait to see him here.

You think it will take you that long to get your strength up (for your bench challenge) and then to drop off extra BF? If your nutrition is locked in and your training is designed for your goal I bet you could meet both goals way sooner!

Ill be honest I have only done it on occasion and never legitimately followed any of the programs for any length of time. I have used it in the past as a routine break (those days when you want to lift but you dont want to do the same stuff as always) Just pick a bodypart(s) and prepare to be destroyed if you do it right.
Hit some back today. After sickness and Kcals being a bit lower. DEFINITELY noticed it on deads. Still got 475 up but didnt feel nearly as good as it did last time. I can get compliments every day and never get sick of it. Still sometimes hard for me to hear/accept/believe and thats something I have struggled with. It does feel good to get noticed and have people mirin though.
Tried working on front levers. these things are hard! fun challenge and definitely will help improve pretty much total body strength and coordination. Going to continue working on them for sure.

Yeah, I'm hovering around 130 now a days haha. Lifting has been great, been gaining strength and been focusing on getting stronger. (Less Reps, More Weight). I go at least 3 times a week, Biceps/Triceps/Back one day, Chest/Shoulders the other day, and finally Legs/Abs/Accessory Work the next.

I have a plan to lose the weight in mini stages as im increasing poundages on the bench press. I set the 140.0 benching 280.0 as an easy goal but I wont argue if I acheive more in that year time frame. (im at 250 x 1 now) I only need to add 30 pounds on my bench press in a year to reach it. Im not saying im going to reach it in that year but somewhere down the road I want to do 315 x 1 at 140.0.

good job man. So you are more focused on strength than size now? Always feels good PRing lifts and getting stronger. Hope your Turkey day was good man!

Nice. Just remember slow and steady. Always easier to save some and hit it again next week then push too hard too soon and injure yourself. If your diet is on track I think both goals are very achievable even sooner. Keep pushing hard.

Did an arm workout today.
havent done an arm only workout in forever. Not really a fan to tell the truth, but a friend asked because he wanted a spotter to do some negatives. Never hurts to do something different either.
Feeling good overall. Weight is pretty steady which is expected. Have just been maintaining mainly. Slowing incorporating some cardio back here and there to get my conditioning back up since I didnt do cardio forever lol.
Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and loaded up on some turkey! Easy way to get that protein in right!

Some chest work mainly today.
Flat bench. slow negatives because they are fun! BB standing press, Cable incline fly, cable decline fly, lots of pushup variations. feeling arm workout from yesterday so tris already sore and weaker than normal.
Followed by 30 min on the stairs. Re-reading Pavel Tsatsoulines book "Relax into stretch." Very informative and eye opening. I have read it before but wanted to refresh on his practices. I am focusing a lot on stretching and increasing joint ROM. No point in being big or strong if you can hardly move.

Hey Stingray,
Just in here doing my thing! Always working hard, and always changing goals around.
No worries on the reps. You work hard and are inspiring, keep up the good attitude you will hit your goals for sure! Dieting is all a mental game really. Once you understand that it's really not that hard.
I feel carbs depend on the person. I can do find high/low carb but I honestly feel better when on low carb. I still eat them yes, especially in times when bulking or aiming for strength gain, but I can also go low carb and be perfectly fine mentally and physically. I think certain people just adapt better for some reason. The important thing is you find what works for you and use that.

Friend got a vid of 455x3, waiting for him to send that and I will get it up. Also got in 2km on the Rower, followed by 30 min on the stairs. Forcing myself through cardio daily lol. Gotten a few compliments on looking leaner recently. Weighed in as I havent for a bit and weight is up lol. I dont even..........

This hits too close to home right now..... must be the pull of the moon or something....
You don't try to build a wall.
You don't set out to build a wall.
You don't say, "I'm going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that's ever been built!".
You don't start there.
You say, "I'm going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid.".
You do that every single day, and soon you'll have a wall.
Closing in on that 500 mark eh?? Nice! You def got this!

Yeah I pulled 495 and got up but didnt lock out so I didnt count it. I raged that day, so close but didnt count. I cut back and got sick. I am almost there again. Working on more heavy singles to get up there again. Gotta pull 5 plates to the TOP! Still trying to get vid from friend lol.
Not sure how closely you follow but I had stopped cardio for the last few months because I was focused on gaining LBM. Made making gains much easier, but I definitely notice it. High rep sets I can tell even which is honestly sad. I am definitely bigger and stronger now which is why I wanted. I think its time to lean out and gain back more athletic abilities like I used to be.
I must admit its fun filling out shirts and everyone knows you lift just by seeing your size.

Been in the forums offering tips to others. I took a week off of lifting. I still did rowing and stretching daily though. Was very challenging but I think it was good for me. Been dealing with some health issues so wanted to cut back. Feeling a bit better and getting back into it though. Trying to keep intensity up and reduce volume a bit. I know I do way more then I should, especially for how I've been eating.

I took off from the gym 4 days myself. Its a good idea to listen to your body. As a side note im getting ready to cut for a year. By cutting 3 weeks then eat at maintenance 3 weeks and repeat the cycle.

Sounds like a good slow and steady plan. Still trying to get your bench up too, right?
Hit some rowing today. Played darts @lvl7 and went 2200m and was huffing and puffing. Smoked me. Did a light leg workout today. Some KB front squats, leg press, BB RDLs, Tired and sore today so didnt get much in.
Also going to up calories. Wanted to cut but I am dropping WAY too quickly for my liking. Slowly increase cals till weight loss slows a bit.
