What weight do you think? I'm around 155 now but still small ftl. Also how long should it take to bulk from 155 to 190 lbs if I am doing a relatively clean bulk but still trying to maximize muscle gain, and minimize fat gain? Then I'd know if I hit 190 lbs in like 1.5 years that it is all fat and I didn't gain much muscle yet. I don't want to bulk up to 190 and then cut and wind up at like 155 cut (happened last time I tried bulking)

Depends on bone density, muscular proportions, etc. I'd say 180 lean.

At 5'7 you should be at LEAST over 175 imo to be considered "big"...that's really not asking that much

start at 5'0. Add 10lbs per inch. This is a "athletic" build. Add 30lbs. This is likely your maximum possible muscular weight, for normal people. Split the difference between max and athletic if you want to look "big" to the average person.Originally Posted by JoshSP1985

I am 5'7 and 177lbs. I think I look fat as hell(see pic). But when I was 190lbs, I looked better. I think I had the same BF% but with more muscle.

yea not hating at all, but I think I need to be your weight but w/ like 10% bodyfat to look decent at our height. Even when you cut you are gonna weigh like 160 something cut, and that doesn't really seem that big at all. Why don't you just keep bulking to a little over 200 and just suck up the fat gain for a little longer?Originally Posted by El Dorko

well I only weigh 155 ish now. A little while ago I had a major epiphany and decided that I have no reason not to be somewhat cut all year round (never been "cut" in my life other than starting a year ago", and now my main goal is just keeping fat off in the long run, but I need to get bigger before I can cut again so I don't look scrawny. It's tough for me because I'm trying to monitor my fat gain and make sure I'm not gaining too much. It's probably going to take extremely long for me to get to 175 lean because I'm clean bulking.Originally Posted by NORCALpump
