flat/incline bench problem with wrists bending back

anyone have any opinions on keeping your hand/wrist straight and in line with each other when doing the presses? On my heaviest sets lately i seem to have a problem with my wrist bending backwords and the bar falling out of line with my fore arm.

thanks.

you want to keep your wrists in line with your elbow, in other words you need to either do direct forearm work or lighten your bench load in order to keep your hand directly above the elbow.

Perhaps your bench strength has no surpassed the strength of your wrists?

If nothing else, look into wrist wraps. Some will yell that is it just a work around, you'll always have weak wrists, etc etc.

But I'd say use the same mindset with them as people do with straps. Use it on your heaviest sets when you need, and then go without on lighter sets, while doing direct work to shore up weaknesses.
