Perhaps your bench strength has no surpassed the strength of your wrists?
If nothing else, look into wrist wraps. Some will yell that is it just a work around, you'll always have weak wrists, etc etc.
But I'd say use the same mindset with them as people do with straps. Use it on your heaviest sets when you need, and then go without on lighter sets, while doing direct work to shore up weaknesses.
