I have an off brand one, and it does not blend ice very well at all. Supposedly has the same motor and blades. I would be suprised if a magic bullet is much better at repetitively blending ice.

I've gone through two of them, I like them a lot but I think the parts could be better. On the bottom of the grinder cup or whatever you call it, it has these things that get spun by the actual magic bullet to make it grind. Whatever that part is called it seems to wear and eventually to point that it's no longer usable.
Other than that I love em.The only person I compete against is myself, the cruelest of opponents

I have one too and agree with everything that's been posted. It is also loud as hell, so you may want to keep that in mind if you're in a dorm or if you have roommates. It seriously drowns out the TV when we use it. I can only imagine trying to study and out of nowhere "WHHHHIRRRRRRRRIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, RRRRROOOOOOOOOORARARORRRRRRRRRRRR, GRAOGGROAGROROG!!!"

havent used a magic bullet but i like to use this...
http://www.ultimatechopper.com/
its basically a chopper but also comes with a blender attachment that hasn't let me down in 2 years. it chops ice, fruit, oats, just fine. i use the chopper part to grind up oats and almonds into a fine powder so i can scoop it and drop it right into my shaker with my protein

We had a no-name one that lasted a few years and replaced it with a MB recently. I use it every day but mostly use frozen fruit in it (bananas and strawberries typically) with milk and protein powder. With ice it comes out kinda like a slushy or ice cappuccino with fine pieces in it. I find the more ice you put in it, the better it grinds it all up. If you just put a cube or two in it, they spend too much time getting pushed to the top and not getting ground up..
