NM, found out how to use search fuction!

I'm trying to read all the stickies and all the links that might help, but I keep coming to this?

I'm assuming it's different for everyone, but would it mean that I would need to START at something that is almost too difficult? Or something that I can do without really struggling?

Sorry, but I didn't see the answer.

You start with a weight so that you can complete your sets and reps with good form. If you struggle too much then your form suffers and injury may result. But you want it to be heavy enough that it is a challenge.
