Keto works fine for non bodybuilders, just no carb-ups. If you are not a bodybuilder but do some reasonably intense exercise, you can experiement with TKD, where you eat a small carb meal before and after workouts.
There is a lot of research out there to show that low carb diets tend to be the best for fat loss and overall health.
