After reading a few threads yesterday I think I might look into adding a postworkout formula to my next stack.
What are some recommendations. I been checking out Dark Matter but been hearing good stuff about relentless and torrent.. What are other options

You should always follow up your post workout formula with a solid food meal within 45 mins-1 hour
You could do that too. I prefer solid food after Torrent.
All 3 of the products you listed are good and will get the job done. When comparing look at Torrent's formula:
20 grams high quality hydrolyzed whey
8 grams of Leucine (the anabolic trigger)
7 grams of cell volumizers
3 grams of creatine
a great carb blend
Here is some great info on the science behind Torrent's formula:

Chocolate milk works for me. I'm tired of paying through the nose for products that are more hype than results. Most supplements are just money-makers. They come up with some amazing claims and exciting packaging.
A new product comes out and it's endorsed by a pro whose been around for years. How can something new be responsible for a guy's success when he looked that good before the product was even invented?
Save your money. Buy good protein, eat right, minimize supplement purchases, and work your a$$ off at the gym.

Well Im more than hip to the supp game. I have a few friends who were sponsored athletes who school me quite well on a few secrets to the game. I tend to look an ingredient profile first, get some feedback second then worry about what company makes it or who is on the cover lastly.
I do understand your arguement; save money, always a plus. However an arguement can me made that there are quite a few quality supps out here that can assist an individual in obtain his/her goals. After doing some research and asking a few questions; i think a pwo formula is worth the moneyHemavol

I think chocolate milk can be a viable option for many people. Its not practical for me as I can't keep it refrigerated as I am away from home during the day...but not to be dismissed offhand.

I have a pwo I make at home after the gym. If I am in a rush or it's early (I workout at 5AM often, I can't wake the baby with the blender), I just take out the banana and eat it and subsitute Dextrose for the PB.
Here's mine, with the numbers already taken care of for ya:
my monster pwo shake:
2 scoops dymatize elite protein: 42g protein-240 cal-3 fat-10g carbs
2 tbsp peanut butter:7g protein-190 cal-17g fat-7g carb
1 whole banana-2.5g protein-200 cal-.7g fat-25g carb
1/2 cup oats:3.5g protein-83 cal-1.8g fat-14g carb
Ice
water
totals: 53g protein, 713 cal, 22.5g fat, 56g carb

Yeah man, and you can really scale it up and down for your needs. Take out the PB and cut out the fat, use natty pb if you want, the macros are off a bit when using a different protein. Myofusion for example would add 50 or so cals and 10g protein. I like that you can tailor it to your needs.Gym.....Tan.....Laundry **Georgia Crew** Newton County** ** Twinlab MILITIA member since 2014 **

have you tried a free sample of golden gains yet? (bb.com will have it up end of next week)
great postworkout product and it has more than the equivalent of a full days worth of fruit/veggies per serving, that alone (there is so much more to the formula) make it an amazing value.Specials & insider info

So really what would make taking a post workout formula more effective than taking a Gainer. A good gainer has A sh*t load of aminos, protein, good amount of carbs and sometime creatine, EFA and more. Most of these pwo formulas are basically the same minus the calories with the waxy maize added.
