Has anyone ever said no to a GF's request for a "break"? How did you handle it?
OK misc. I see post after post of broken hearted guys talking about how their GF wants a "break" and the guys desperately want to hold on to her so they get confused as to what to do.
Has anyone here been asked for a "break" and realized the writing was on the wall and just broke up with her on the spot instead of letting themselves get strung along? If so... how did you handle it/how did she take it?

I've never been put on that situation, but i dont do breaks and dont believe in them, so what i would say is "No, i don't do breaks. You're either with me or you're not."

Girl a few years back asked for a break. I broke up with her on the spot. Started getting texts a few days later about what a 'mistake' she had made. Banged her a few more times before informing her there wasn't a shot in hell of us getting back together.

If someone needs a break from you then you are not meant to be and you need to leave that relationship and move on. You should be with someone that wants to be with you all the time and misses the crap out of you when you are away not someone that needs time to weigh out whether or not they want to be with you still.

Gave into the "break" proposition twice, I ended up refusing the 3rd time.
1st GF I ever had wanted to go on "break", ended up not calling me or anything.
My 4th gf (longest relationship) said she wanted to take a break, I gave in. Ended up breaking up a few weeks later.
My second to last gf wanted to take a break, but this time I refused and said "Fcuk it."
