It's cool the way Dex always struggles with the first couple of reps and then bangs the rest out.

He's working. The gym is his office, he looks like he really gets into it, mentally. I am not surprised he doesn't talk much.

I noticed that too, don`t quite understand it, when I`m benching and come to a point where I struggle the reps get progressively harder and failure comes very quick. It`s like his 2nd last rep is easier than is 3rd last, and in the beginning of the set you think he`s done after a couple of reps but then he keeps banging them out...

Considering that Dexter is ten years older than Heath, and this video was made 9 years ago, did anyone else think that Dexter in 2000 looked almost exactly like Phil does now? I'm not even talking about just in the body, I'm talking about in the face too. It was almost eerie.

could be he's real cautious the first few reps coz theres greater chance of injury when the muscles are not fatigued yet & can generate larger amounts of force.

Man, he throws 225 around like its a feather. No struggle whatsoever.
I do the same thing as him, the first 1-2 are hard. Then once the blood rushes in and muscles stretch, the next ones come easier.

I think your exactly right there, I do the same thing it just takes a couple reps to get into the groove and feel safe with the weight...As for mass Id be suprised if he's even added 9 pounds but he is one of the few who didnt ruin his physique since he turned pro. He looks about the same as now minus a little back and legs

Little did he know then that he would soon be the BIG "O"...I like Dex's physique. He is a mix between Ray,Wheeler, and Levrone all in one.
I like the huge 300lb massmonsters, but since nobody will ever top Ronnie Coleman, we might as well see some smaller more pleasing guys now..

the difference in mass means that now instead of fitting in a nice red mercedes 500sl he has to have a big ass beemer to lug his fat Mr Olympia ass around

Who's to say noone will ever be bigger than Coleman?
You never know, the next huge mass monster could be 6'4 375lbs with freaky ass genetics.
