Arachidonic Acid...an essential fatty acid??
If you read the ingrediants of your fav 'Test Booster' you just might find Arachidonic Acid. Part of the Omega 6 family and touted by some to be anabolic in nature and a cancer fighter....yet by others with a bold warning DO NOT TAKE IF YOU HAVE OR HAVE HAD CANCER. You can do your own research. My primary concern is that most comes from China in bulk form (I picture a rusty wheelbarrow). http://www.chinasuppliers.globalsour...Supplement.htm
I read labels and warnings/side effects. I was sent a box of a very well known Test Booster and found AA and the above warning. Since I have had cancer twice and don't know who to believe... I used it as rat bait.

Having used ArA for a trial, would say you are much better without it. More hype than results if you have done enough training through the years and provide yourself adequate nutrition.

Nuke...if that question was for me...it was sent to me unsolicited by a known supplier. I read before I take...it was tossed before trying. PM me for the brand name.

As people get older, the natural homeostasis of pro- vs. antiinflammatory mechanisms in the body get increasingly shifted towards proinflammatory. These inflammatory mechanisms are assumed to drive or at least to accompany a lot of degenerative processes and other pathological conditions which utimately lead to diseases like arthrosis, dementia, COPD, etc.
As AA is the main substrate for the generation of pro-inflammatory mediators (prostangandines and leukotrienes), feeding an already "inflamed" body with even more "fuel" might not be the best idea.
This is not just theory and speculation but from first hand experience as well. A few years ago I could easily supplement with AA without ANY adverse effects. However, 2-3 years later, I couldn't any more, since I started to get very nasty headaches and joint-pain, even at low supplemental doses.
That's why I think that people who are approaching 40y (or who even passed that mark) should be increasingly cautious and aware of potential side effects and should very closely observe their body and its reactions to AA supplementation.

Sides I remember from researching this last year include joint pain (DR_P = bingo!).
Also, although its not supposed to cause cancer, it is strongly discouraged for anyone with (or that had) cancer.
