apple cider vinegar and gettng ripped

Ok, so I am currently trying to get ripped in a healthy way and whatnot. In my looking online, I sometimes come across Apple cider Vinegar as something that can help with lossing fat. Has anyone used ACV to lose some fat with success? Or does it not work at all?

    =) thanks for the responses!

Nothing really works. Lots of myths.

Caffiene will suppress appetite and give you energy to make up for the lack of calories. It's cheap as hell and works.

I used ACV on my face for mild acne problems. It helped lol. But, I also heard that putting a teaspoon in a bottle of water each day can help with fat loss.

hmm, i dont completely agree with either of those statements... but there are a lot of myths, yes. However, there are a lot of truths.

Caffeine alone won't suppress appetite. Perhaps if you drank some coffee with skim milk, your hunger would subside.

Apple cider vinegar is helping me lose weight because I'm using it on salads instead of the high caloric salad dressings I used to use (i.e. ranch). Surprisingly tasty on lettuce and spinach.

I don't know if it has special powers beyond that, but it's working well for me in that role.

Excessive amounts of caffeine make me groggy as well. A cup of coffee or red bull and i'm ready for a nap. I make my own BBQ sauce with ACV but aside that I don't know.

    Re: Special Powers

Link to study: (dropped the http as I don't have enough posts for a proper link)

    pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jf900470c

    From Sciencedaily:

"Their new study showed that laboratory mice fed a high-fat diet and given acetic acid developed significantly less body fat (up to 10 percent less) than other mice.

Importantly, the new research adds evidence to the belief that acetic acid fights fat by turning on genes for fatty acid oxidation enzymes. The genes churn out proteins involved in breaking down fats, thus suppressing body fat accumulation in the body."

As always, more research to follow before anything conclusive can be determined.

I certainly would like this to be true, especially since I use so much of it.

Apple cider vinegar makes great salad dressing. If you drink a little (diluted in water, unless you are mega macho), then it tends to kill a sweet tooth.
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.
