Well not sure any league is "noob friendly", just search the web for basic strategy on FF and dive in! I would suggest NFL . com or CBS Sportsline . com.. You can also try Fleaflicker . com //Yahoo. com or ESPN . com...
As far as the process goes you basically just draft a team, typically start: 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1K and 1 Defense/Special teams.. Then you'll have a handfull (or so) of reserves. It's all pretty self explanatory. Just make sure you are aware of what type of league it is. Standard is basically: QB's- every 25 yards passing = 1 point, 10 yards rushing = 1 point, TD = 6 points, INT= -2..RB's- 10 yards rushing = 1 point, 1 TD = 6 points, Fmb = -2..WR's- Every 10 yards receiving = 1 pt, TD = 6, Fmb = -2...TE will have same point structure as WR... Defenses start @ 20 points and go down as the opposing team gets yardage+scores points, you get a point for sack, 2 pts for int/forced fumble. Def also gets between 6-10 points for a kick returned for a TD.. Kickers are pretty blah enless they boot 50 yarders all day.
PM me for more direct Q's, otherwise just do some googling on FF strategy and you'll be golden.
