Bent over Barbell Rows
I have been doing bent over barbell rows for a while now and really enjoy them as a solid compound exercise for my back. I am having just one issue and that is when I raise the bar to my midsection I get a "pinch" in my hands along the thumb, like a pins and needles-type feeling. Have any lifters got this on lifts before (even with another exercise)?

maybe it's your grip? Try underhanded instead and see if that helps.

Try changing your grip around. See if the issue persists.

Sounds like this might be it, thanks and I'll follow up in case others search through the posts with the same issue.

How wide is your grip? How are your hands/wrists aligned in relation to your arm - i.e. are they neutral or are they flexed / bent?

You can also try T-bar rows instead which has a different grip. These can also be done with an Olympic bar and a V-handle if you are working out at home.

Also double check and make sure you aren't curling the wrists back towards you as you pull the weight to the midsection. That could give the hands some problems especially with heavy weight

Hey guys thanks for the replys. Thnk I found the culprit, my radial nerve in my hand which is used when the forearm is worked.
The radial nerve runs along the thumb-side edge of the forearm. It wraps around the end of the radius bone toward the back of the hand. It gives sensation to the back of the
hand from the thumb to the third finger. It also goes to the back of the thumb and just beyond the main knuckle of the back surface of the ring and middle fingers.
